Le Roy's Ka'anapali vous souhaite la bienvenue ! Depuis l'ouverture du Roy's Hawaii Kai « original » en 1988, le chef s'est mis à explorer de « nouvelles directions », en alliant les techniques classiques de la cuisine européenne aux influences uniques de l'Asie et du Pacifique. Il présente un menu en constante évolution, guidé par la fraîcheur des ingrédients et son sens de la liberté.

One of the best steaks I have had. Extremely tender and the sauce was superb. Extra creamy potatoes and fresh vegetables paired delightfully. Service was excellent as well. I highly recommend Roy’s Kaanapali.

Food was fantastic, we got in quick. Place could use a remodel, but the food made up for it.

Great food, service wasn’t bad. Or waitress was good and not so good. Sometimes she came to our table and was bothered then other times she was friendly and chipper. I was surprised the utensils were run of the mill silverware found in any cheap restaurant and plates were ordinary. No tablecloths or placemats. For a Zaggat rated restaurant with those prices, I would think the decor and tableware would be more than what you’d find at Denny’s. I’d go back, the food was great.

Roy’s has gone downhill since my visit last year. I am not the only one. We were there from 6:00 to 7:00. The place was half empty, although the Super Bowl may have had some effect. We have had difficulty getting reservations earlier than 8:00 at other restaurants. My wife had chicken on a pile of mashed potato’s. She left the potato’s. I had the honey glazed rib which had nice vegetables. There was more meat than I could eat. We shared a Caesar salad, which we both enjoyed.

While other restaurants in the Lahaina/Kaanapali side of Maui seem to be thriving, this once great place is limping along and blaming the fire as the reason. The food was ok—the rib appetizer was just barely cooked through. The filet —requested medium—was well done. We weren’t asked how was our filet—anyone looking at it would be able to see the lack of red or pink. Since we were getting lees than positive service, we opted to just complete the meal rather than wait for another to be cooked. We have been coming to this Roy’s for over a decade—having lived on Maui in the past and living still in Hawaii now. Until we read of a turnaround in reviews, we will delay our return.

All good except our server. She said she’d be back with information for me about which entrees were dairy free, an additional bowl of edaname, missing utensils and we finally had to flag down someone else. I had discussed with her that I I had to be dairy free & my salad came out with dressing that contained dairy. This is not good service, but each of our four meals were very good.

Lunch was Asian chicken salad and chicken sandwich. Nothing was served elegantly like the website photos. The food was okay- not very flavorable.
