You’ll find an elegant dining experience with a relaxed and refined atmosphere at the Prince of Wales Hotel with the Royal Stewart Dining Room, Windsor Lounge and Afternoon Tea.

Take part in a time honored Waterton tradition with Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Inspired by British tradition, Afternoon Tea features a selection of teas from Jolene's Tea House (Banff, Alberta) and a variety of delectable sandwich squares and pastries. 24 hours are required for any dietary restrictions.

Tea is served in the Royal Stewart Dining Room, which overlooks Waterton Lake for some of the most spectacular views around. Join us for this unique experience daily from 12 PM to 4 PM during the summer operating season.

Looking for Dinner, join us in the Royal Stewart Dining Room between 5 PM - 9:00 PM and watch the sunset while you dine on locally inspired dishes.

The Windsor Lounge is open seating with first come, first served.

    We enjoyed a delicious dinner, starting g with Welsh Rarebit as appetizer, a summer berry salad and bison sirloin strip. Our dinner was capped with a haskap and honey cheesecake. The view of the mountains and glaciers in this classic lodge makes for a magical setting.

    We had afternoon tea. Service very good and food was well done. Very nice portions-small bites of a lot of different items. The dining room was a bit warm as windows do not open and no AC. Gorgeous views of Waterton Lake.

    what would’ve been an A+ experience was incredibly disappointing. We waited 45 minutes after Tea was served for our food. only after approaching the weight staff twice were we able to get our food. We are not a squeeze in reservation. I made these reservations over six weeks ago. One serve the food was delicious. Family got our food or servers shared after she waited on us, she was done for the day. That just made it seem like we were inconvenience at $60 a person for eight of us.

    Our server was attentive and focused on ensuring we understood the menu options, and we were quickly served. The food was delicious. The room is beautifully historically decorated. Noise level balanced.

    We booked a table couple of weeks ago and requested a table by the window. It was our celebration dinner. When we arrive our table was not ready and we received a random table (not by the window) with dirty carpet underneath. Food was good but small portions and overpriced. Our waiter was chatty, but lack of waitressing skills. We are disappointed because we expected elegant restaurant but found a random place taking advantage of the beautiful settings outside

    I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the great service. The food was exceptionally delightful. My son and I, were celebrating my 96th birthday and we could not have chosen a more distinguished restaurant.

    We have had high tea in several places around the world and by far this was our best experience. The knowledge that the server gave us and the quality of food and tea was 5 Stars.

    We had a wonderful high tea! Our waiter Sean made the experience, many thanks to him. He presented all of the teas and food thoroughly and kept the banter cheery. This was my first high tea- but certainly won’t be my last.

    Beautiful view. It's a very charming ambiance. The food wasn't bad. You are paying more for the view and the experience. Wonderful wait staff, they did a great job of making sure we had a good experience.
