Father’s Day was busy. Great idea to have reservations because others mentioned they waited over an hour. We only waited 10 minutes. Start to finish was 90 minutes. My husband thought that was a long time but felt it was reasonable to be seated and finished in 90 minutes. Will definitely go back

We took my husband here for brunch to celebrate Father’s Day. The restaurant didn’t seem able to handle the large crowd. We had 1:15 reservations and was seated around 1:40, we didn’t begin eating until 2:30. A big plus, we did enjoy the food.

It may have just been when we went (Father’s Day Sunday breakfast at 9 am), but very slow service (20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and then insisted on waiting to take our food order until all tables’ drinks orders were in), food was nothing special, and we were seated right under a freezing air duct (had to go grab blankets from the car for the kids to want to sit there). Again, will give the benefit of the doubt since it was a special occasion, but did not personally enhance this family’s Father’s Day experience.

Our server, Val, absolutely a jewel. So my partner and I are Matt and Tony’s loyal fan group. We of course went here because of the partnership and email…. First my lovely manager was there to greet me, so glad to see a familiar face, then Val’s service, but the chicken! Omg Matt and Tony’s be careful their chicken at Royals is shaming Matt and Tony’s. M&T had this flat price of fried chicken that Mercer seemed to have visual or taste bud life, so bad we stop ordering it, came to Royals and had the fried chicken, it looked like a piece of chicken but my goodness was seasoned they way fried chicken should be done!

Our waitress, Valerie, was delightful and efficient! Our chicken quesadillas were delicious. Great cosmopolitans, too! I look forward to returning soon with friends and neighbors!
