One of my favorite "go to" restaurants with friends for lunch. The food is consistently good and the service is great. I love getting a booth because it's much quieter than sitting at a table or the bar. Highly recommended!

Hi, We had a special occasion/business meal for some executive managers treating us graphic designers for all the hard work we had done, and this is the spot we all picked as our 'favorite local dining casual spot' to have some good food, conversations, and drinks (good beer selection!!). We had a great time, great food, always a good time here. However, sadly to report, upon arrival we were not greeted and did not get our reservation (hostess gave our table to a walk in group right before us). We told her we had a reservation for 1:15p (as we had to get back to work by 2:15p) but ended up being late back to work because we had to wait for the next party of 5 table opening and did not get seated on time, kind of disappointing since we made a reservation :( Offered community table but we purposely wanted our own table since we reserved it. Would be nice in future the reservations be honored for people who need to get back to work. Thanks for the great spot to grab food and beers!!!

I've probably been going to The Royal Exchange for over 20 years. I've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They must have a new chef because the food quality, and menu have improved. It's not just bar food any more. A good upgrade in flavor and choices!!

Great lunch spot in the downtown/embarcadero area. A little noisey, but food and service makes up for it.

A great San Francisco tradition and meeting spot. The bar is open and inviting, while the dining booths provide quite privacy for conversations. It is the "go to" spot in the financial district.

Royal Exchange does not accept reservations after noon, so we waited for an available table. Same token they do not serve appetizers

We had a good business lunch at Royal Exchange for a group of 6. We had great service, good food in a lively and fun atmosphere. We look forward to coming back again soon.
