Rossoblu celebrates chef Steve Samson’s two home cities, Los Angeles and Bologna, Italy. The menu features house made salumi, soulful pastas, market produce, and wood grilled fish and meats.

Located in downtown’s City Market South, the site of Los Angeles’s original produce market, Rossoblu’s vaulted dining room and open kitchen create a festive dining environment. The restaurant’s private outdoor piazza allows al fresco diners to feel far removed from the nearby city bustle. An intimate basement wine cellar can be reserved for private parties.

As a tribute to his experience, Chef Steve will personally cook a multi-course, family-style dinner. Experience the camraderie of communal dining as you share stories and savor each dish. Because Chef Steve prepares and cooks each dish himself, limited seating is available. An optional wine pairing with featured wines from Lazio is available. The food as usual was fantastic. The service was through the roof. This dinner was a special occasion and the staff went over and beyond to make it perfect and it was.

The appetizers and pastas we had were great. The fish entree was a bit overcooked and a bit bland. I would go back for great cocktails and nice wine list along with apps and pastas.

Amazing experience! I had the best time with 3 friends celebrating 3 birthdays. Our server Jeante was such a good listener, making sure we chose the perfect wine and covktails for our taste and dishes that worked with food sensitivities. I loved everything from the calamari to the crespelli pasta and hanger steak. The mural on the far wall and flickering candles gave off such a great summer vibe as did the bustling outdoor living room style patio. Can't wait to come again.

Overall a very good dinner experience. Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. The pork dish was enormous and enough to share with at least 2 more people.
