My husband and I celebrated our 12th anniversary. We heard about the restaurant via word of mouth. It was quiet, and the food, and ambiance were great. We will be back!

Everyone was amazing! The service and the food and the drinks were perfect! Be sure to see Tamarsh- bartender with a smile next time you are in. My family left very satisfied! I will be back to try more on the menu

We live in the neighborhood and wanted to try the new restaurant. Pork chops, chicken wings was delicious but the lamb chops were burnt.

First time dining here. Cocktails were delayed and came at same time as dinner. Excellent catfish and grits. Cornbread was delicious. Will return.

Had a good experience on a Friday evening. There was no wait with a reservation. The food came out quickly and was well prepared. Service was wonderful, our server Brittany was very friendly. Favorite item was the crab soul rolls, delicious! The NOLA bowl is extremely filling and actually large enough to serve 2.

We wanted to try a new experience close to our home (Springdale), and headed to Ida Mae's. There are currently in a soft open mode. The atmosphere is quite fun, including the dress of the staff. We enjoyed their take on Southern hospitality using family recipes. As a soft open, not all menu items are available every day, but that is very understandable. The food was really delicious, and the portion sizes were large. We ordered a few items to share across our family of four. We enjoyed another full meal of leftovers as well. The staff was great, and we'll be back. We recommend Ida Mae's and look forward to their full opening.

Food was tasty and well seasoned. However, it would have been nice if we had been told that an item on the menu was being replaced.

I was intentional about not reading the reviews prior to my dining experience. I made my reservation for Father’s Day at 6:30 with the understanding that the restaurant closed, or at least stopped serving at 7 PM. But, with the fact that my reservation was accepted on OpenTable, I made the reservation anyway. Because this was my very first Father’s Day since my father died, it was a struggle for me to celebrate with my husband and daughter, and try to make it special for them, as I have been in a funk since my dad’s passing. Imagine our disappointment to show up at the door and it is locked. The parking lot was full of cars. There was another couple who was also there for dinner and they were also quite surprised that it was locked. No employees were visible from outside. Thus, my review is reflective of my experience. I’m not sure that I will go back. I should say that my husband has worked in food service for nearly 50 years and therefore we are quite understanding that things happen. But this just wasn’t the day for me to be so understanding especially when my favorite restaurant is right next door and we made the conscious decision to forego what could have been a guaranteed pleasant experience for a nonexistent one.
