Set in a beautiful Art Deco building in the thriving heart of Prospect, Rosemont Hall is the perfect spot for friendly lunches, fun times and casual get togethers.

Outside, come for a fresh juice and a healthy Asian salad, while the kids play in the plush laneway and garden. Then stay for dinner in our beautiful restaurant and get transported to 1920’s Hong Kong.

When it comes to food, there is plenty to choose from- whether it’s a meat platter from Mr Chan or a selection of delicious snacks with a wine in hand. We are all about keeping it casual, but also offer table service for dinner in the main “hall”. Think local seafood, roasted meats, dim sum and stir-fry’s straight from the wok.

Such a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The only down side is no way to call the waiters to your table if you need help.

We booked several weeks ago for Valentine's Day. On arrival there was a long line outside. We learned from other diners that regardless of booking or not we had to wait in the line. Nobody on staff communicated and eventually we grabbed a passing waiter who confirmed this. She was unapologetic and just said we are very busy. As it was already 15 mins of waiting and the line had barely moved we decided to leave. I wonder what is the point of taking bookings if you are then expecting people to line up. Very poor. Will not return.

Environment is great, service is decent. Though your waiter and waitress did have a little bit of discussion/argument in front of us due to wrong orders. Food is mid, dry beef in the curry, curry does not have a lot of flavour, all i can taste is salt. Deep fried icecream coating has no flavour, drench in butterscotch sauce but there's so much sauce I feel like my ice cream is swimming in a pool. Drinks are great. Value for money is probably the worst, would have given negative if i can. Deep fried ice cream for $22 is crazy! Char Kuey Teow (CKT) is $36 for a Large size but it looks like a standard size. Everything on your menu is just 20-25% more expensive than the usual high end market price. Normally, I won't mind paying if the food is great but that's not the case unfortunately. Will I return? Unlikely

Food was wonderful, however certain items on the menu were ‘sold out’ at 6pm on a Tuesday night. We also found ordering/service took a long while at the start, but by the time we were eating, our plates were practically being whipped away before we were even finished. We had not even finished our side plates when the eftpos machine was brought out and we felt quite rushed out the door. Food was great but service poor.

Food was amazing, however our waiter was very rude, we had a person in our party who is gluten free, and when asked if any of the starters were gluten free he said ‘it’s all written in the many as GF, that’s it’ we had to pressure him into going an talking to the chef to check, he was quite obviously not happy about it, when he eventually came back there were a few GF options to choose from.. service was also very slow for drinks as well, we sat for about 15-20 minutes when we got there with no drink service, the restaurant wasn’t that busy, there were people setting up for dinner service. Overall good food / bad experience
