A Rare Steakhouse, Well Done.

Rosebud Steakhouse prides itself in creating a true Chicago steakhouse experience for all of its guests. We offer superior quality, dry and wet aged cuts that are locally sourced by Linz Heritage Angus Beef. Visit our original location on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, our Indiana location in Munster, and soon, our first restaurant in Texas located in Southlake, Tx.

Rosebud Steakhouse in Wheeling IS NOT part of the Rosebud Restaurant Group, consequently we do not honor Rosebud Gift Card (similar to the ones from COSTCO). We are part of the CHC RESTAURANT group, and our Gift Cards can be used at any of our restaurants, including Rosebud Steakhouse on Magnificent Mile, Rosebud Steakhouse in Centennial Village, Coppolillo's Italian Steakhouse in both Libertyville, IL and Crown Point, IN, and soon to come, Windy City Social in Munster, and Rosebud Steakhouse in Dallas, TX.     Service was slow because they had so many wait staff out ill. Manager was very kind and took care of us. The waitress never acknowledged or apologized for her inattentiveness or slow service.

    Our server was wonderful (Sergei) even though we had some problems figuring out the checks at the end. Our fault - splitting dishes and asking for separate checks. Service was unusually slow, even for New Year's Eve, more than 3 hours. Delmonico steak - lots of fat, not very tender, and undercooked. Didnt want to send it back because of the time factor. Side dishes good. didn't have the drink I wanted (Liqor 43) so disappointed.

    This was our first time eating at Rosebud, and they did a decent job overall for only being open 2 months. NYE is always a challenge no matter how long a restaurant has been open. Here's what we loved: the food was spectacular! OMG, the cauliflower au gratin was to die for. The steaks were tasty.. One of the best Strip Steaks I've had at a restaurant. My wifes filet was also very tasty!. The service was great as well as the ambiance. Here's what we thought could have been better. We ordered our steaks medium, and both the filet and the Strip Steak came out rare to raw. Once we let the server know,the kitchen made it good but that shouldn't have happened..they did give us a new cauliflower au gratin because the original had gotten cold by the time our steaks came back. Also, there is a disconnect between the menu prices and the bill. My NY Strip was listed as 59$ plus 4$ for truffle butter.. I was charged 65$, which was the price of the KC Strip, but not charged for the butter.. This was a $2 difference, so I didn't mention it. I do have a suggestion. As someone with celiac diseases, I go to steakhouses because the menu usually has several options for me. I would have loved to see gluten-free rolls, buns, and bread on the menu as well as gluten-free pasta and some other dessert besides gelato or sorbet. Even the sides were scarce.. There are more of us out there than one might think. The table next to us also had a diner with Celiac. All that being said, we'll be back. Having a high-end steakhouse with really good food in the neighborhood is great!

    Overall, it was a terrific experience for me and my guests. The service was outstanding by Sean and the food was exceptional. From the appetizers of lamb chops and Asian dumplings, to our steaks … it was simply outstanding ! Highly recommend !

    We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived about 5 min. early. The evening began with us being seated at a high-top table in the bar although I'd requested a standard table. After a few minutes of waiting, we were given a low table in the dining room. While our server was very nice and helpful when he was at our table, we did not see him very often. We were given water right away by a bus man but didn't see our server for 10 min or more after being seated. When he did arrive, we ordered drinks and appetizers. He said he'd bring fresh bread as well. Drinks and appetizers arrived well before the fresh bread. It was over an hour before we were able to order our meals. It could have been a much nicer experience if there had been more servers, or the servers were more attentive. We felt like it was very expensive considering the value of service we were provided.

    Great food and great service. Manager was very professional and personable too. Definitely would recommend! They are a new restaurant and just need a cocktail menu. :) One is in the works they said.

    Great service. Food vs other top steakhouses was good. There are many better steakhouses and many worse. However the staff and management on Xmas day was fabulous and based upon that alone I will be back.

    Wanted to try this place. Fell a lil short of my expectations. Minus 1 star, the greeter (wearing a suit coat) could have been more cordial. Server was good, food good. A lil pricey. Morton’s & Wildfire are & will continually be my go to!

    It was the perfect place for a festive dinner. The food was delicious! Jeff was our server and he was wonderful. The ambiance was that of a special place for dining ! I would absolutely come back very soon . A great place to celebrate special occasions!
