Please call for reservations over 6 guests. We accommodate parties of any size.

Rooftop now open on a first come first serve basis. Reservations will NOT be taken for the rooftop. Rooftop hours of operation vary based on weather and private party bookings.

Rooftop requests are not rooftop reservations and will not be honored. We will do our best to accommodate requests.

Brunch will be served Saturday & Sunday until 2pm

For nearly 50 years, Alex Dana’s Rosebud Restaurants have set the standard for Italian fare in Chicago. Rosebud Randolph will be Alex Dana’s 9th location, featuring a 3-level space including a rooftop, located in Millennium Park.
A 3% Surcharge will be added to every check. We will be happy to remove this by request.

The gluten free offerings at brunch are plentiful, but the salad I chose was not the greatest. I had the Rosebud chopped salad with shrimp and a side of blue cheese dressing and it was just bland. I don't know if it's the mix of vegetables or what, but it never quite hits the spot The host stand is weird. You check in on floor 1, then you go up to floor 2 and check in again. The ambiance is kind of plain, but the views of the city are nice

Service was terrible. Took 20 minutes after being seated and 2 requests to finally get a waiter to speak with us. When the food finally came (after another 20 minutes - we just had eggs and breakfast meat), someone other than our waiter tried to deliver it to 2 other tables and we had to actually walk over and let them know it was our food. Worst experience I’ve ever had at any Rosebud restaurant.

Delicious crab cake, Wagyu flank steak, and baked ziti. The Godiva chocolate cake and coconut cakes are huge! This location is changing to a Mexican restaurant soon so they didn’t have some of the ingredients needed for cocktails. Overall it was a very good dining experience. I would visit other Rosebud locations.

Our server was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. It’s a bit of a shame it’s being converted to Mexican :(

It’s half a Mexican restaurant now so it’s confusing. Is it Italian or Mexican food. When I made my resy, I asked to be seated indoors but they say us outside in the sun. I won’t be going back for a business lunch.

Rosebud has always had a nice reputation in my mind. I have only dined there a few times over the decades. Last time at a different Rosebud location. I was tremendously disappointed. Both my daughter and I had the chicken and veal parm respectively. Although the portion was huge, it was easy to tell the meat was old. The pasta has definitely been sitting out a long time, too. No bread for the table. The service was acceptable, but the two people working together kept undoing the other’s work. One would set down clean plates, the other would walk up and take the plates away, etc. The ambience was nice, but the air conditioning was fighting the night heat making for a nauseating, alternating current of hot and cold. It could have just been an “off” night, but the bill was hefty for cheap, lousy food. I would not say skip it, but go the one in Little Italy on Taylor street, or choose a different spot to spend all that hard-earned money. It was an “ok” experience with very sub-par food. I’m sad to report it, but it’s true. I stated it was my daughter’s birthday in the reservation. The waitress asked us, after the meal, why we were there, and said, “Oh, you should have told me and I would have done something for her!” Well, she did not do much as discount her dessert. I’m just sorely dissatisfied. I’m not usually one for writing reviews unless it is stellar or really gave me pause. I’m sorry to report that this experience was pretty rough.

We ordered our steaks medium and they were medium well close to well. The quality was not as we have experienced at other Rosebuds. It took a long time for the bread, reason our server stated was it was still baking but the bread was not even warm.

I know they’re closing, but the Vesuvio potatoes were horrible and the minestrone soup that I eat all the time was awful! Tasted like vinegar.
