Miss the original Rosebud on Taylor (evidently private events only there now - ridiculous) but the one on Rush is a good replacement. The food was outstanding, and our waiter Fredrico was superb. He always appeared at the table at the right time. That is a skill not everyone has in the restaurant business. He was not the only good service - our hostess, I am sad I didn't get her name, was wonderfully accommodating. Allison at the downstairs bar may make one of the best Negroni's in Chicago! I had my usual veal Milanese - it was perfect! The breading was crisp and stayed on the meat. The rigatoni that came with it was good. The sauce is close to my family recipe, so it always tastes like home. I would say the only downside to the whole meal was the bread. I like a nice crispy Italian bread - only so-so rolls in our basket. Overall tremendous experience and always look forward to going back for more.

The ambience was very cozy and unique, although it was very loud and hard to have a conversation. The food was fantastic, however our specific waiter was over the top with insults that he found humorous. He definitely made our visit an unpleasant experience.

Made reservations but, was 10 minutes late and was still seated immediately upon arrival. Waiter was great and timely with cocktails, appetizers and main course. Good value because you get two sides with your protein versus ala carte for the entire meal, which was great!!!!! We ordered a New York Strip and a Ribeye medium cooked; and they were perfect! The potatoes and asparagus were delicious! The cannoli's were awesome! The entire experience was far better than expected. We are most definitely coming back to verify that this was no fluke!!! Keep up the good work.

Rosebud is a great dining experience from the food to the service to the atmosphere - we were very impressed. We would not hesitate to go back or recommend to anyone looking for traditional Italian fare with exceptional service.

The food was outstanding. However, the waitstaff was weird. The maitre d played it off like he couldn’t find our reservation. Until he did. And the staff would play the College National Championship on the tv near the bar because they claim they lost the remote. That was childish. Again, the food was outstanding. Service not so much…

We had classic eggs Benedict. It was good but nothing to write home about. The portions are huge. The meal was pleasant overall.

I used to love the steaks at Rosebud. I ordered the filet ribeye rare. I was very excited as it has been awhile since I’ve been there. The good: our waitress was excellent, the pasta - dishes great, chicken dish was huge! And tasty. Wine was excellent. The dessert was good, we had 3 items. They did bring our party some birthday cannoli’s for one of our party but they also charged us for it which was fine but most places comp that. The bad: steak came medium rare despite ordering it rare, had to hunt down the waitress to send it back. Brought replacement in decent time. It was better. Not quite as rare as I’d like, more of an in between rare- medium rare but I didn’t want to keep waiting to eat. There was little to no seasoning on the steak. All I put on it at home is salt & pepper then finish it with melted butter to top off. I don’t think there was any seasoning on it. I was very surprised. Definitely not what I was expecting. They do serve it with a sauce/glaze on the side which is good. The price was reasonable for the cut of meat but the flavor left me wishing I had ordered pasta. It’s a very noisy restaurant which I do not mind. We were able to talk comfortably at the table. The tables are a little small for 4 people to eat at. We gave them the bread basket so we’d have room for the meal. The bread doesn’t come warm which is disappointing. There is olive oil on the table for the bread but no seasoning for the oil. I’m not sure I’d go back but if I do, I’ll get a pasta dishes.

The service and food were amazing! I had the baked ziti and it was one of the best pastas that I have ever had. Staff were very attentive

The interior space has recently been tastefully remodeled and is a much brighter space. All our entrees were very generous and were very tasty. Service was excellent. We will definitely visit again.
