The Henrietta Bar, in the heart of the house of The Roseate Villa Bath is the perfect dining experience, whatever time of day or occasion.

Start your day with our delicious locally sourced Breakfast, with an expansive selection of classic cooked dishes and freshly prepared continental spreads.

Indulge in a delightfully delicious afternoon tea, brimming with homemade treats. Tuck into warm scones, sandwiches made from home-baked bread and moreish indulgent cakes, all made by the Villa's fabulous bakers.

Finally, the Henrietta Bar is proud to launch its new Dinner service from March 2024, with a well curated menu of seasonal European Cuisine, served alongside a fabulous wine and cocktail list.

Please be aware that we are happy to cater for dietary restrictions, including Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free, but we do require advanced notice.

Bad experience due to the rude manager who soured the experience. Worst afternoon tea we have had. Booked via open table for afternoon tea- menu on website said 38£ each. The menu we were given said £38 each. We were charged £42 each and when we pointed out the mistake were told that this is because we were given a "festive" afternoon tea that we never asked for, was not shown on the menu and were not told about in advance. When we complained that we were not informed of the extra price we were told rudely by the arrogant manager that it said so on the open table app so we had to pay. There was not a word of apology. We also paid a service charge. The waiter was courteous and friendly, but the service was slow, certain things were not brought as you would expect throughout despite few people there, and we were told the wrong information for what was in some of the sandwiches and desserts. So overall we paid £94 and the food itself was also low quality for this price. It used cheap supermarket bread, and overall lacked flavour.

We went for high tea to the Roseate Villa. It was everything you would want from a high tea experience. Beautiful villa and beautiful dining room looking out over the garden. Delicious high tea and gorgeously presented. We enjoyed this thoroughly. It was the right choice to experience a British high tea.

Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea! The staff were amazing, the ambiance peaceful and the food an absolute delight. I’d come back for another special occasion in a hearbeat!

We had an enjoyable Afternoon Tea at Roseate Villa. The food was delicious, the choice of tea extensive and the location very accommodating. We will be back.

This is our 3rd visit for Afternoon Tea, it’s always been an extra special experience. The food was varied and fresh, service was ok. We always go during the summer so that we can sit outside, we noticed the tables hadn’t been set up and my partner was seated inside, we asked to go outside and we were told to pick a table and the crockery would be brought out. The table wasn’t wiped and cushions wet where they’d been left out. Nobody checked on us once food was delivered to see if we needed drinks etc. Sadly experience not so great this time!

Beautiful location. The afternoon tea was delicious and the experience great. Price is overall good similar to other experiences in the area.

The service was great, and the place was nice and small, but there was a hair in the food. Also, the price is very overpriced for the selection, and the food wasn't that good.

We loved our afternoon tea, the staff were very friendly & attentive. The sandwiches & cakes were delicious, & there was a large selection of tea. My only slight criticism was that it'd be nice to know some of the back story behind the teas, we've had an afternoon tea before & the lady told us a lot about the tea.
