Located in the historic Fulton Market district of Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, Rose Mary is Chef/Owner Joe Flamm’s debut restaurant inspired by his Italian heritage and the bold, bright flavors of Croatian cuisine. The boisterous space—named for Flamm’s grandmothers, Mary and Mary Rose, and the herb rosemary, which grows natively along the Italian and Croatian coastlines—offers a seasonal menu of rustic yet refined dishes that encapsulate what Flamm has coined “Adriatic drinking food”.

We had Mason as our server for the second time (unplanned) and he was even more of a joy the second time around. Incredible service and great food as always.

I think the fritters could be so much better if they weren’t so over battered/ deep fried. You can barely taste the zucchini. Ribs were fantastic. Eggplant pasta is a definite skip, whatever spice is in there doesn’t go at all and ruins the dish, all that needs is garlic.

One of the most low key delightful and hospitable dining experiences I have had in Chicago in a long time. The food was excellent too - loved especially the fritters and the duck sausage. Wines from Croatia were terrific and again the service for our first visit here (finally) was excellent. Won’t be our last.

First time here and it was wonderful! Excellent customer service from the minute you walk in until you leave. I can say the food is wonderful and they have something for everyone. My favorites were the cocktails and the Branizino . I will definitely come back soon.

Food was delicious. Ordered 4 dishes for 2. The green beans and ribs were outstanding, the shrimp and tortellini were good. Celebrated an anniversary and were served complimentary champagne. Wished we had room left for some dessert. Fantastic restaurant, would highly recommend and definitely looking forward to returning.
