Rose & Ivy, located in the beautiful two-story, vine-covered historic I.R Burns and H.H. Bell Building right next to the Sarasota Opera House in the heart of Downtown Sarasota. Featuring eclectic Pan-Asian cuisine, with a focus on sushi, sizzling steak, exotic dim sum, a superb beverage program, plus a curated atmosphere like nothing in Sarasota.

The space is a multi-faceted property with large front and courtyard patios with lots of fans for Florida weather, interior dining room and upstairs piano bar. Explore with us from 3PM-12AM, Tuesday through Sunday!

Very good overall. Had Tuna Poke Nachos, Grilled Octopus, Shrimp and Scallops, Miso Halibut, and 2 speciality rolls (School or Rock & Rose and Opera). Everything was very good except the Miso Halibut which was very overcooked and dry. Should have sent that one back.

The wait staff and the hostess all seemed frazzled. We where seated was given ice water the hostess told us who our waitress would be and she left We waited for some time finally the waitress appeared asked us if we like drinks and appetizers we ordered drinks she came back to see if we wanted appetizers we decided to order Then about 5 mins later she brings our drinks Then food came out which was fabulous We asked for a wine list waitress stood it off then did not come back we where going to order more good and a bottle of wine but since we where fine we decided to leave and find some place else for dessert

We had a great experience last night at Rose & Ivy. We really enjoyed the sushi—we ordered several different rolls, which were all delicious, and seaweed salad, which was also great. We were celebrating an anniversary, so we were sent a fantastic spumoni ice cream ball covered in dark chocolate—what a treat! The service was great also. The downstairs is very lively and fun, but for a more intimate experience, try the upstairs.

Always a great place to enjoy great food, laughs and friendships. Raphael is always so sweet to stop by and make sure we are enjoying his restaurant to it’s fullist.

Really like what the new owners have done with this wonderful historic property. Food is great. Decor and vibe is great. Will be coming back for sure.

Rose and Ivy has lots of potential. Lots of outdoor dining options, great location, great sushi and cool vibe. Mgmt needs to add some staff and liven up the patio. We’ll be back
