Rose & Ivy, located in the beautiful two-story, vine-covered historic I.R Burns and H.H. Bell Building right next to the Sarasota Opera House in the heart of Downtown Sarasota. Featuring eclectic Pan-Asian cuisine, with a focus on sushi, sizzling steak, exotic dim sum, a superb beverage program, plus a curated atmosphere like nothing in Sarasota.

The space is a multi-faceted property with large front and courtyard patios with lots of fans for Florida weather, interior dining room and upstairs piano bar. Explore with us from 3PM-12AM, Tuesday through Sunday!

Great sushi. We tried different sushi and appetizers and they were are delicious . Great presentation and service.

Excellent restaurant. Nice decor. Great service. Food was tasty and nicely presented. Drinks were innovative and delicious.

Reserved a table inside via open table platform for my bday along with 3 others. Was told by hostess we could not be sat inside as we requested. We are locals and know this time of year the weather is unsettled as it was last night and would never chose outside seating for this reason. We had a drink upstairs while waiting to be sat(we arrived 30 min early for our res) Again the hostess approached and told us we could not be sat inside. We went on open table and 15 min after our reservation we were still able to click on the indoor reservation queue. Such a disappointment on a special night. Very poor service….hostess should be trained properly. She told us we reserved table 23 outside….how would we know what table 23 was???? The reservation was the 23rd! Was that the confusion????

Great restaurant overall. There was a guitar player that would occasionally sing, it was very very nice. We sat outside and it was perfect. Sushi was very delicious and their ribeye was great. Cocktails were delicious as well.

My wife and I love this place. Jacob behind the bar is terrific and always has suggestions for great drinks. We like to sit at the bar for dinner. The chef's creations are amazing. If you love sushi, this is your place. If you don't love sushi, they have plenty of other choices: the bao bun cheeseburger, rock shrimp tempura, and wild rice are all amazing (I ask for the wild rice without the jalapeno). Bar drinks are great, and the wine list is great. The downstairs space is always busy with a nice buzz. Once the weather cools off we'll try the enclosed patio to the side and the tables out front. They also have a sushi bar and a regular bar upstairs, so when the place gets really busy (like in season), there is still room for walk-ins (but if you want a table, you need a resi).

Rose & Ivy offers delicious food. We ate on the second floor, so if navigating stairs is a problem, stay downstairs. The restored bar is beautiful. Service was attentive but respectful. Acoustics were not the best and as the room filled up, the noise level went up considerably and it was more difficult to converse with our party of 6.
