Rose & Ivy, located in the beautiful two-story, vine-covered historic I.R Burns and H.H. Bell Building right next to the Sarasota Opera House in the heart of Downtown Sarasota. Featuring eclectic Pan-Asian cuisine, with a focus on sushi, sizzling steak, exotic dim sum, a superb beverage program, plus a curated atmosphere like nothing in Sarasota.

The space is a multi-faceted property with large front and courtyard patios with lots of fans for Florida weather, interior dining room and upstairs piano bar. Explore with us from 3PM-12AM, Tuesday through Sunday!

Unique pan Asian cuisine we especially enjoyed the dumplings, spicy shrimp and Udon Noodle dish. Seaweed salad was as expected but disappointing in portion size for the charge. In fact, though we enjoyed the food, found it minimally overpriced for the portion sizes- perhaps since it’s a downtown location,

Great food, service and vibe. Pot stickers and spring rolls were great starts for the Crispy shrimp tempura sushi roll.

We had a fantastic dinner date at Rose and Ivy. We had 2 “small plates” and 2 sushi rolls. Everything was delicious! The small plates are definitely large enough to share. Can’t wait to go back!

This was our second visit to Rose & Ivy. Both times we had assorted Dim Sum. Interesting offerings and absolutely fine food, but just fine. Good service and good ambience, but at least on the Asian side, not at the top of list in Sarasota.

The service was way to fast In 20 minutes we were in and out of the restaurant We did get a chance to finish our starters that our entrees had arrived Maybe because we didn’t order alcohol? All they seem to care about was flipping the table in record speed

This relatively new restaurant in the theater district adjacent to the Sarasota Opera House is terrific. They feature a great Happy Hour Bar Bites Menu, in addition to their full dinner menu, which is innovative with great appetizers and entrees. At the bar we enjoyed edamame, tempura rock shrimp, dumplings and tasty sliders. Bartender Tony is the best and the overall ambiance and service is five stars. The owner's presence is felt in the first class operation and he stopped by to introduce himself and thank us for our support. Five stars all the way!
