Situé à seulement quelques pâtés de maisons du quartier animé de Union Square à Manhattan, le Rosa Mexicano est le 3ème restaurant de ce nom à New York. Il propose un cadre chaleureux et vivant et une cuisine mexicaine primée authentique. Conçu par David Rockwell, il présente des éléments architecturaux inspirés par le célèbre et regretté architecte mexicain Luis Barragan. Les murs bleu électrique avec lumière intégrée représentent des plongeurs et des bougies au milieu d'une cascade d'eau pour séparer le bar de la salle à manger principale. Le restaurant arbore de la terre cuite chaleureuse et des couleurs jaunes associées à des touches de rose foncé. Il est également décoré d'artisanat mexicain exceptionnel, d'étoffes et d’œuvres d'art. Ces associations créent le décor idéal pour l'atmosphère festive et la cuisine mexicaine innovante proposées par le Rosa Mexicano.

guac was overpriced and tasteless, food was just ok, definitely has decreased in quality over the years, service was uncoordinated between servers - overpriced for Mexican food. Not the same Rosa that it used to be

Honestly the service was the worst. Waited over 30 minutes to just get water, the manager was the only good part of the service. First time I went here it was great food, bad service; this time bad service and not the greatest food.

Overall, good food, loved the esquite (corn). Service was ok, taking in consideration that the place was packed.

The lights were beautiful, the front desk welcoming, and it was very crowded. Great service, delicious food and the manager greeted us before and after we ate.

Rosa is an institution, however I feel that the service can be better. The drinks took long well past the appetizers. Perhaps the guest to server ratio is not proper. Some of the drinks did not taste same on the reorder..

Extremely long wait at bar to get a drink. One bartender doe the whole bar. We were sat 30 mins after our reservation. Server took our order brought drinks and we never saw him again, not to get another drink or for him to check to see if everything was ok with food would not go back

Had a reservation but they were so far behind that we waited 30 minutes in line before we even talked to a hostess. They also didn’t have water for us the first 30 minutes after we finally got seated
