En 1984, l'établissement Rosa Mexicano a créé un nouveau standard pour la cuisine mexicaine lors de son ouverture dans l’Upper East Side de New York. The food quality has gone way downhill and our service was horrible. “Tableside guacamole” which was not made tableside, was the best part of the meal. Very obviously avoiding our table for unclear reasons, but seemed annoyed by questions about food allergies or any other requests we made (plastic cups and straws for the kids), water refills. We sat outside, but the AC was broken and it also felt quite unpleasant inside.

We had a reservation on Saturday, June 29th. It's was over 90 degrees that day and what are the odds that the air conditioning happened to break down that day. We had to switch our seating from inside the restaurant to outside just so we could at least get some occasional breeze. We were sweating and very uncomfortable. We ordered the guacamole which states in the menu that is made tableside. To our dismay, a server came by and placed a bowl of guac on our table that was ready made...why did we pay $17 for this? The restaurant's version of fajitas for 2 people was $69 dollars. For that price we got chicken, a chorizo, and 10oz of Angus NY strip... In hindsight, On the Border or Chuy's would have been a better choice for tex-mex food. We would have spent half of what we did and had way more food to share. Save your money and go to literally another other restaurant at National Harbor people.

Wasn’t great, when we arrived it was hot and they said the A/C went out. They gave us papers with QR codes on them to order - we used them and 2 out of 3 of us ordered things they “didn’t have on the menu” according to our server. He said those are the old Menu’s - even though that’s what the hostess gave us for a menu. Very bizarre. I ended up just getting a salad. The table side guac was good but other than that not impressed.

The main issue is that there is absolutely no air conditioning in this restaurant. They had 2 large fans but that was it. The food was good overall, service was good. I was happy to have the $25 off $75 or more via the InKind app.

Hostess desk needs more training as we had a lot of people and we had a reservation and all they do is say “give me a minute” and then it was 11 mins to get seated. Oh and air conditioning broken. However the waitress was excellent and so was the food. So overall worth it!!!!

I normally LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Rosa Mexicana restaurants, but this location was a huge disappointment. Service was just plain erratic. Dinner was served so quickly and was lukewarm at best and almost flavorless, (as if the food was pre-cooked days before) and our cocktails took so long to be served that they came after the guacamole, chips, salsa AND our main meal was served. There was no air conditioning inside (during a heatwave) and I asked to be seated outside (looking for a little river breeze) but was seated in a bit of a wind tunnel. I asked to be moved to another part of the terrace that wouldn’t be so windy. The original server literally scowled at me when I made the request (the new area was obviously not in her section). Our new server was very pleasant and I could see she was doing the best she could….but it all seemed so chaotic and very disappointing.

Restaurant had no air conditioning. Hostess did not mention this when seating us. She continued as though there was nothing wrong. Thankfully the weather was nice to sit outside. Server was very slow. He continuously forgot about bringing us water. We had to ask for napkins several times. Came back to the table 3 times to confirm order as opposed to writing it down.

The table side made guac was awesome! Had it with the pineapple topping. I had chicken tacos, hubby had steak tacos. Both were pretty good. We may patronize it again, but aren't in any hurry. For sure they need to get the AC fixed, as sitting in 90° plus weather, even in front of a fan was a less than pleasant dining experience.

The air conditioning was not working on a very hot day, so it was uncomfortable in the restaurant. The margaritas were very good, the guacamole was excellent, and the service was good but the food options were limited and the food was so-so. Spent over $200for food and drinks for 4 people - didn’t feel like it was worth it to go all the way to the Harbor and spend a lot of money to have ok food.
