La 2ème succursale tant attendue du Rosa Mexicano a ouvert ses portes en juillet 2000. À quelques pas du Lincoln Center, cet impressionnant espace conçu par David Rockwell dispose d'un mur d'eau de 30 pieds couvrant les deux niveaux du restaurant, irisé de tuiles bleues et orné de 240 plongeurs miniatures. Il offre également un escalier "flottant" spectaculaire tout en dalles de terrazzo, dans les tons d'orange et de rouge, et des panneaux rétroéclairés derrière le bar décoré de pétales de rose. Elu "Best Restaurant 2000" par l'Interiors Magazine, son look contemporain unique a inauguré une nouvelle ère pour l'établissememt.

Highlight was the freshly made guacamole. Aside from that very disappointing in my personal view. Chips and salsa on table, ok no complaints. Starter… ceviche not bad, empanadas a touch hard & not flavoursome to me… waitress did recommend not to have quesadillas given chose enchiladas for entree. Well… my colleague had NY strip tacos… was served almost cold, rock hard tacos, expensive for what it was; the chicken enchiladas wasn’t served tepid, not much filling, sitting in a lake of sauce… enchiladas relatively small. Didn’t bother with dessert. Sent both entrees back and wasn’t charged. Had ordered a side of spinach - small. Had glass of wine each… red was fine… white was told it was dry… was sweet and served warmish… That guac was good and staff removed items from bill is reason for give 3/5.

The service was poor. Our drinks took forever to come and we had to ask for them again. My kids’ tacos had no toppings on them and it took me some time to get a server’s attention to ask for some. Her food was only lukewarm. Our unfinished food sat in front of us for a very long time and we were sitting under some stairs with little ambience. Very disappointing for a restaurant chain I have enjoyed in the past.

We have been in this restaurant few years ago and had a good experience. This time our experience was really bad . The food is absolutely horrible !!! We ordered two fajitas ( meet and chicken ) . Both were dry , tasted like rubber and uneatable. The side dishes were poor as well . To summarize, the worst Mexican restaurant we have ever visited ! Keep away , there are 100 better locations in Manhattan.

Service was great. My salmon was initially undercooked and raw. It came back very overcooked and tasteless. I had this dish a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Food seems very inconsistent

Service & hostess was excellent as always but the drinks tasted watered down & our food was delivered cold. Guac was awesome as usual. LOVE ROSA Never had a complaint before last night. Maybe it was just an off night Will try again!

I chose this restaurant due to it's proximity to Lincoln Center. I was attending the Opera. I ate alone and I was glad I got there early for my reservation because my meal took 2 hours to complete and pay the check. The guacamole is made fresh at your table. The margaritas were good and strong. Food is delicious! Staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend you stop by if you in the vicinity for a drink if not a meal!

We are regulars at Rosa Mex ..been going for years. Food always good and dependable. But had a very bad experience with an incredibly rude hostess. We had a reservation at 6 pm. Arrived a few minutes early. Hostess kept insisting we had checked in already and “ the others” were at the bar. Our friends were nowhere to be seen and we told her that. She told us to find them!!!!! I asked her to seat us until they arrived and she refused. We were about to leave when she relented. Our friends arrived a few minutes later . They had not been there earlier ….the hostess was completely confused. No apology. Servers were lovely and food was nice. But what a drama.

We came here before the Philharmonic. Everything was great -- delicious food, nice cocktails, excellent service. That said, the tables are very close together and the noise level was pretty high, but we were able to hear one another well enough. Will definitely return!

The restaurant has gone downhill over the past few years. Even the famous guacamole is not as tasty as it used to be. I'm unlikely to go back.
