La 2ème succursale tant attendue du Rosa Mexicano a ouvert ses portes en juillet 2000. À quelques pas du Lincoln Center, cet impressionnant espace conçu par David Rockwell dispose d'un mur d'eau de 30 pieds couvrant les deux niveaux du restaurant, irisé de tuiles bleues et orné de 240 plongeurs miniatures. Il offre également un escalier "flottant" spectaculaire tout en dalles de terrazzo, dans les tons d'orange et de rouge, et des panneaux rétroéclairés derrière le bar décoré de pétales de rose. Elu "Best Restaurant 2000" par l'Interiors Magazine, son look contemporain unique a inauguré une nouvelle ère pour l'établissememt.

Attractive restaurant directly across the street from Lincoln Center. Food is very good and price is excellent for that area. Would recommend a reservation. Very good service and surroundings but a little loud for my tastes. Some menu items are very spicy so be careful. Have been there several times and will return.

Pre ballet prompt service was appreciated. The fish tacos were bland and the tacos were very small. The chile relleno was a nice serving size and well seasoned. We will visit again.

I like the restaurant, the food, the service, the location but I won't be going back. They have now instituted the policy of not seating you until your whole party is there so instead of being seated and enjoying a glass of wine while waiting for my friend to arrive they made me stand around. I do not understand this policy. If someone would care to explain it to me maybe it wouldn't upset me so much, but I do not like this policy and so I will not go back.

Rosa Mexicano never disappoints! The frozen pomegranate margarita is no miss as is the tableside guacamole. The enchiladas are always good - the brisket beef variety has a surprise kick in the sauce. First time diners become Rosa regulars. You will too.

Downstairs hostess friendly, directed us upstairs to second hostess who barely acknowledged us other than to beckon us to follow her, led us to our table, never spoke, or for that matter even looked at us, just pointed to our table. Waiter (David I believe) was exceptional. Friendly, efficient, and attentive without being overly so. Margaritas were just okay. Food was excellent. Biggest gripe: once we were done and ready to pay the check, our waiter, who had been so attentive all night, was nowhere to be seen. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we decide to use the QuickPay QR code conveniently placed on each table. Worked great: no problem. However, I later looked at my emailed receipt only to realize that I had been charged $3.79 for this "convenience". Not a lot of money but leaves a bad taste and seems very suspect that our waiter who had been so attentive all evening was nowhere to be seen when it came time to pay the check, especially as the restaurant was not at all busy by this time. Just to be clear, this is not directed at our waiter, who as I said previously was exceptional. Somehow, and I could be wrong, but I believe that this is an intentional practice in order to hit the customer with an additional surcharge. The QuickPay option is not a bad idea for when restaurants are busy, but don't feel the customer should be charged for it, and if you are going to be hit with a surcharge it should be made clear upfront. If it was in there somewhere, I surely missed it.

Overall good experience. Was charged $5.00 to use quick checkout. Just be aware because, although I have used a quick checkout multiple times, this was the first time I was charged. Also, very loud environment

I dined solo, and was seated at a small table upstairs. The restaurant was not crowded at this time (6:15). I enjoyed the Mescalita cocktail, quite good. The grilled shrimp tacos were very tasty, they were a bit messy to eat. They were very small, so a serving of three tacos was not enough as a main course. Overall, the service was quite good, just not sure how to order main courses.
