I used to come to champs before it was closed and I heard that, there was still a vegan place in the same spot. I ordered two different styles of wings. For 26 dollars I could have just gotten frozen vegan tenders and threw some sauce on them myself as they are very underwhelming and no where near the quality of the previous place. My friend got the salmon and I tried a bit and it was far too over seasoned. Another friend had gotten the chikn pot pie and it was pretty bad. We also got loaded tots and while they were good the bits of “bacon” were not cooked enough. I did get the cheesesteak and that was good. The server was really good and although they left us for a while I’m not holding that against them as it did get super busy. Overall I’m pretty disappointed and if I were ever to come back it would be just for the cheesesteak.

Food is inconsistent. Every time I go, I ordered the same few things and it is hit or miss. My friend and I both ordered Philly cheesesteaks that came without cheese! It was also overly spiced with black pepper and practically inedible. My side salad was soaking wet lettuce and a slice of tomato - no dressing. They forgot my husband's shake and brought it after we finished our meal. That was my last meal there.

The best breakfast! We had the chunk steak hash, cinnamon roll pancakes, & chicken & waffles sandwiches. We typically order several things & split it all family-style which we mentioned to the waitress who kindly brought us extra plates. Everything was outstanding! My husband who isn’t vegan couldn’t get over the hash. The eggs were perfectly seasoned (a rarity), and the sweet items were sweet without being too much. The only suggestion we have is to add a little spice to the chicken & waffles, specifically on the chicken. The sweet & spicy combo would take it over the edge for sure! This is now my favorite breakfast spot, 10/10 🙏🏻

So wanted a “Champs” experience. Was fairly disappointed in the food. Maybe it was an off day.

Great venue. Served very quickly and the food was lovely. Had a great vegan breakfast. The person serving us was a sweetheart. Overall a great experience.

The food is incredible — even if you aren’t vegan, you’ll enjoy the creative dishes! The staff is extremely friendly and the vibes are great — the whole time we were there, I was jamming out to Paramore.

A friend of mine raved about this place when it reopened so I finally went today and it was so good! Everything I got tastes like it's non vegan version and is probably better if I am being honest. The Owner was so kind and welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough, I will be coming back!

This is 1 of only 2 places for which I will commute an hour from Washington Heights. Their food is delicious and totally worth it!

This was a happy accident for me. I booked this not realizing that it was a Vegan restaurant. Never having eaten vegan food before I was a bit apprehensive on whether I would enjoy....well I'm happy to say I not only enjoyed but LOVED the experience. How the heck you make a vegan bacon egg and cheese is beyond me but whatever magic they use is working. Delicious! Very cool vibe and decor and very friendly staff as a bonus.
