The Gumbo, the Collard greens and the Duck Fat Fried Chicken are the best that I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Our waitress Samantha was fantastic. This is now my favorite restaurant in Dallas.

Our group of 7 had a birthday celebration there and we had a phenomenal time. The food was exceptional. It took a while to get it but it was well worth the wait. There was music along with dinner. It was such a relaxing vibe. We had the chicken, the fish, greens, sweet potatoes, crawfish rice, lamb pasta, cornbread, deviled eggs, drinks and dessert. We ate family style; food was outstanding. Will definitely go back.

From the moment we walked in and received such a welcoming greeting from the hostess, this was an incredible culinary experience! Samantha was excellent on service and the food was the best cornbread/greens/gumbo/striped bass we’ve ever eaten. We will be back at our new favorite restaurant and we’ll bring family next time!

Another fantastic meal at Roots. This time we tried the salt cod fritters, pork cheeks and striped bass, all fabulous. The deviled eggs never disappoint. The peach and mango cobbler was a perfect ending for a perfect meal. Had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Tom Foley during our meal who shared interesting stories about both Roots and Radici. Highly recommend both restaurants.

Very good food. The deviled eggs were a bit too spicy for my liking but all of the other appetizers and entrees were incredibly delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant! High end food with a casual atmosphere!
