Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen is thrilled for its first expansion since 2012, opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne with more than 30 years of culinary tradition and craftsmanship under its belt. Rooster's is known for elevated simplicity with dishes that allow seasonal, often locally sourced ingredients to shine. With this location, Rooster's debuts a refreshed approach to interior design with a nod to the outdoors and the recreation of fly fishing. The service, wine and beer selection and entrees and sides we chose were outstanding. The dinner menu is more extensive than the late afternoon menu. Best bet is to wait for dinner menu. Our party had a great time !

We visited Roosters for late lunch and were delighted by the brunch menu. The selections were of great quality. The ambiance was pleasant. Our server, Jacob, was exceptional. He provided attentive service and was consistently punctual. We definitely will return for the evening menu.

When we first got there and were seated, we waited 25 minutes for a server. I finally got up and asked for a manager. We finally got a server to our table. The food was good, not great. The manager did come over and apologize and we got our dessert for free. But first impressions are always the most important and the initial 25 minute wait kind of messed up the rest of the meal.

We have previously dined at other Roosters locations in Charlotte, but this was our first time at this new Ballantyne location. The food was very good as we expected based on our visits to other Roosters locations. The atmosphere is nice - modern, open, clean. We were there for Valentine's Day lunch on a Friday - I'm glad we made reservations because almost every table was filled (it was more crowded than I was expecting for lunch time). That being said, there was enough space between tables that we did not feel crowded or cramped; there was some energetic noise but it wasn't too loud (we could easily hear each other talking at our table). The service was friendly and good, although it was slightly slower than expected which I can understand based on the large crowd of people who entered shortly after we arrived (the waitress was busy!). I would recommend it and will be back again in the future - I'm glad Roosters now has a Ballantyne location much closer to my home and that it's as good as I hoped it would be!

Overall it was a pleasant experience, but we did have to wait a significant amount of time to be seated for our reservation. I understand things can happen but it would’ve been nice if they could’ve communicated better with us on the delay and provided us with a more realistic timeframe to set expectations, but waiting 30 minutes for a reservation was a lot…

We always have an exceptional meal and service at Roosters. The prices reflect the high quality of the food. Kelly was our server last night and was phenomenal. It was very busy but she never missed a beat. The restaurant itself has a good vibe and Shawna at the host stand is warm, friendly and inviting!

Amazing experience! Chef David was fantastic and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I am a gluten-free (celiac) vegetarian and Chef David took the best care to show me what I could eat and then made the tastiest food! So impressed! The entire menu looked amazing and my friend who was with me very much enjoyed her meal as well. I will be a repeat customer for sure whenever I’m in town!

We were seated right by the door, not ideal. Very loud, not great for conversation between 2 people. Salmon was burnt outside & raw inside, but waiter made it right by bring a second portion. Overall ok but I expected better.

Everything was amazing and it was just as I expected. The food was great. The only reason I am giving it minus one star is that I left a note in my reservation and told the staff in person that it was my mom’s 50th birthday and no one did anything for it- I expected a candle or cake like most restaurants do…
