Cocktails were great. Appetizers also really good. But they dropped the ball on main course.

It was great experience. The food was delicious. We tried the Scottish Salmon Pulusu which is awesome. The sauce/curry is flavorful. We gave one feedback for Dahi ke Kabab, and the server made up for it. Overall, it was a good experience!

Loved our experience at ROOP. The restaurant was not crowded on this Friday evening. My husband & I were able to talk easily. The service was great--polite with smile, not rushed, attentive, served quickly. We ordered a small avocado & chickpea dish which is served cold and was very good. The large plate we ordered, shredded chicken inside a pita-type bread but thinner & softer, was SO tasty. The lamb shank with gravy was also very good although I'm not a big red meat-eater, but my husband enjoyed it. My only complaint is the drink menu. Just one non-spicy cocktail option/something predominantly sweet would be preferred. I realize this is a fine Indian restaurant, and spice is at the heart of this cuisine, but for those of us not accustomed to this much spice in one meal, it would be appreciated. We would return to this restaurant for a great Indian meal, wonderful service, and a restaurant with a very cool urban vibe.

The drinks are absolutely perfect, amazingly crafted cocktails. The food is amazing, the menu is small, but it allows for extra care and effort on the dishes they do make, and it shows. We sat outside, and they have a kind of covered lit space in front of the restaurant that is extremely cozy. It's on the sidewalk so it it has the feel of an urban gazebo. The intersection is not known for being quiet but it feels like you are a removed observer watching the hustle and bustle. The service is extremely attentive and friendly but somehow not garish and overwhelming. They really hit that sweet spot. My advice is to treat it like a tapas place, go, get some drinks and order a bunch of the small plates. There's a lot of excellent work put in to crafting the flavors, and it seems like a waste to commit yourself to just one big meal, though I'm sure that's still a great path. The staff is definitely friendly and attentive enough to accommodate however you want to spend your time here.

Go here. You won’t regret it. We had such a fun evening. The food was fantastic and the service superb.

Great food and service. Portions were small. We were sitting close to entrance. Door was noisy.

Fantastic experience. One of the best food tastings we have ever had. The dishes were amazing, the wine pairings blended perfectly, and the service was great. We particularly enjoyed the creativity with the deserts of the broken egg (a coconut formed dish shaped like an egg and thrown on our plate) and the personal smores with small marshmallows that you toasted at the table. Well worth the money!
