The place is in the heart of Randolph corridor, so a lively area. We sat outside on a warm evening and while it was nice, the outdoor area lacks ambience - could use some string lights and maybe flowers on the table. We had several solicitors come into the outdoor structure to ask for money or sell candy. No danger, but not what you want while eating either. Service was great - lovely people, and the dishes came really nicely prepared and pretty to look at. The food was good, and there are some interesting items not seen at more typical Indian restaurants. The butter chicken was good, not great, and quite expensive. I've had much better at other mid-range Indian places. We got the chili cheese kulcha, and while tasty, it's basically a single piece of naan, and you need chutney to go with it, so it's not really worth it. If you go, try some of the more unique dishes - cauliflower, sweet potato chaat, eggplant. But overall quite pricey, so you pay for the area and the unique offerings.

I took a friend from out of town who has experienced Indian food on many continents and he thought it was amazing! Our server could not have been more attentive or delightful. We were seated in the front room on the second floor which is lovely and relatively quiet (which suited us fine as we were focused on catching up). There are three other rooms that each have slightly different decor, (all are lovely), some have a bar which may be less quiet. If you like Mezcal, The Road to Kerala is one the best Mezcal cocktails I've had and I can't stop thinking about the Sweet Potato Chaat - I may have to go back again this week!

Everything was basically adequate, but definitely not great. We were seated in a long narrow booth off the stairway where we couldn’t see a single other table or anything but a wall. Not exactly a fun ambiance or an interesting one, it was literally devoid of ambiance. Our server didn’t know what a couple of the menu jtems were, when we asked what the dish was, they just repeated the name of the dish back to us. The good was good, it’s not like anything was bad, but nothing was delicious or memorable. We had high hopes/expectations but we were disappointed.

Terrible food, indifferent service. The paneer was burnt, the naan was dry, and the lamb shank devoid of any flavor.

Amazing food and the staff was super attentive and explained the menu with such detail our mouths were watering. Highly recommend this place for dinner and drinks!
