Rooftop in Walnut Creek offers a stunning view of Mt. Diablo while providing creatively prepared new American cuisine. Owners Jim and Jennifer Telford, along with partner and Executive Chef Justine Kelly offers guests a beautiful outdoor lounge for dining out with friends. Besides the picturesque surroundings that also showcases downtown Walnut Creek, Rooftop has a living wall with lush greenery and water features. Guests can feast on black cod wrapped in a banana leaf with pea shoots, lamb meatballs or other flavorful plates. Delicious desserts, fresh salads and bar bites will also satisfy the appetite. With mentions in publications like Diablo Magazine and California Home Design, Rooftop is a wonderful location for a business lunch or a romantic evening out with a date. Visit us on Friday with your friends and enjoy the best views of the city. For reservations more than 6 guests food & beverage minimum spend of $80 per person is required. Friday & Saturday we take up to 12 guests. Table dining times are limited to two hours. Many tables are tall high-top tables with backless chairs, please request accommodations if this will not work for your group. We have a 15 minutes grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 15 minutes after your reservation time. Location and seating are based on availability. 20% service charge will be applied.

We had a very nice lunch. An excellent hamburger and a very interesting Poké bowl. Fascinating cocktail list. We enjoyed our experience completely.

Went out for a date night and had a wonderful time. Rooftop offers a relaxed yet romantic atmosphere. Staff are friendly and polite. They have a nice selection of food and drinks. We had the goat cheese & beets, lettuce cups and the truffle fries. They were a bit overpriced but worth it considering the overall experience. We’ll be back again for sure

Beautiful spot with views from the rooftop of the street below and the mountains in the distance. Service was excellent and the small menu had plenty of options. It was the perfect way to end a workday. I will definitely go again.

It was my birthday today, my server Jordan was stellar. She’s the MVP of rooftop restaurant to me.

Great atmosphere, staff (Ashley) were amazingly friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back because of her and the gorgeous views from the restaurant.

This was our first time here. We had reservations. We came from out of town to celebrate our anniversary. We were a little early for our reserved time. The hostess sat us in a small corner with no view and very close to other diners. My husband asked if we could switch to a table with a view and they did. It was much better with a view of the sunset and the town below. We had the tomato and cheese appetizer. It came with very crusty tiny slices of bread and pesto drizzle. My husband ordered the spicy ziti pasta. He asked to add steak or scallops, but the waitress said they could only add salmon or chicken or shrimp. It came with large shrimps on top. He said it was very good. I ordered the salmon plate. It was cooked well, but not much flavor. It came with asparagus that was also flavorless and undercooked. It came with fingerling potatoes that also had little flavor. It was on top of a light honey soy glaze that did very little to add any flavor to the dish. I ordered sparkling wine. It was warm. Both glasses. My husband ordered an IPA. It was cold and good. We had chocolate cake for dessert. It had a warm chocolate glaze. It was good. We enjoyed the view and the waitress was nice. I dont think the food or drinks were worth the price, but it was overall a pleasant experience and I would reccomend it.

The restaurant itself is really cool. The food and service were ok at best. Expensive for what you get! Good place for a drink and perhaps an appetizer, but save your money and get dinner elsewhere.
