Nice view, but overly pricy. Nobu is a bit pretentious.

This was the second time we came here. We felt a bit put off by the hostess at the front. We came at our reservation time and she wasn’t even communicating and just walked off without asking us to follow. Then we asked to move to a different spot which was empty and we got some attitude from the staff, which was not necessary. We were a group of 7 and celebrating a birthday. After that things went well, but the food was a disappointment. We asked for vegetarian options, and were told that the cold dishes could be substituted. So we were told to substitute the cold dishes the yellowtail jalapeno with avocado instead of fish and the tiradito with cucumber. Please tell me how is a plate of sliced avocado with a small jalapeno pepper on top worth $34?! And then just sliced cucumbers with a taijin pepper worth $34? That was completely a terrible substitution and not actual food. The server was in a better mood once she saw we were ordering food and drinks. She also got the chef to make us custom veggie sushi. She was nice at the end and brought us out a dessert for the birthday girl. Definitely didn’t feel good paying so much money for food that wasn’t even proper food.

We went to have a nice place for drinks and pictures before a night out. Everyone was kind and celebrated our bachelorette! Thank you Nobu

What a lovely and elegant spot with fabulous cocktails, views, food and friendly service. We can here to celebrate a friends birthday and were not disappointed. I will agree with another reviewer that the chairs are not comfortable. But everything else is truly excellent. I had the signature lychee cocktail which was yummy and then the Liar Liar non alcoholic cocktail, since I was driving, and both were delicious. Hubby and I shared our plates which consisted of the spicy yellowtail Hamachi, the spicy tuna on crispy rice, the spicy rock shrimp tempura (think Bonefish's Bang Bang shrimp but much better) and finally the best of the best, Nobu's signature Miso Black Cod. Everything was amazing and the black cod was out of this world! The atmosphere is vibrant, fun and celebratory! Even the bartenders were super nice. agreeing to put on a football game that many in the bar area were looking to watch.

Drinks were good, sushi was okay. Great ambience. Service was horrible with us not getting waited on for a good 20 minutes. Great experience once but would skip in future

Nehemiah served us with the help of others. Our praise goes out to him and the team for their service, recommendations, and personality. We had an amazing time on the rooftop. Overall outstanding

I’ve been to the Nobu in Malibu & New York & Scottsdale — This Chicago location was highly disappointing due to customer service & staff. No words. I’ve given it a few chances & after my experience yesterday I will never go back.
