Roma Norte is the newest venture from the expert beverage team behind Puesto and Marisi, set to redefine the cocktail scene in downtown San Diego. Inspired by the vibrant cocktail culture of Mexico City's Roma Norte neighborhood, Roma Norte promises a technique-driven cocktail experience paired with light, refreshing Mexico City-style bites.

We really enjoyed our time at Roma Norte. The drinks are extremely complex and well-crafted, not to mention delicious. The food was also spectacular, though some reviews make it clear folks don't realize it's just light bites, nibbles... but really amazing nibbles. They are pricey and the sizes are quite small, but it's definitely delicious. The shrimp cocktail and the tuna tostada were highlights. Their signature cocktails are on the pretty high end, but knowing what goes into them, it doesn't surprise me and it was 100% worth it. Their other "classic cocktails" (espresso martini, old fashioned, etc.) are comparable with other upscale bars in the area. I'd definitely go back and recommend it especially for a date night. The atmosphere is cozy and we loved the banquette seating along the walls. 10/10!

Came here for drinks and the sultry ambiance and it was just that. For a busy Saturday night service was fairly fast, we did not have a bite but I presume if we did it would of been just as delicious as the drinks we had. Unfortunately I can’t remember the same but the cocktail with the cantaloupe (sigh) gorgeous presentation and refreshing, if your into melon.

Our drinks were never brought in. 55 min passed and the only response we received was “ computer issues”. Which it did not made sense because other tables around me received or order drinks.
