About ROKA

The name ROKA carries great meaning - ROKA is a meeting place where food and drinks are shared with friends (ro) and heat, warmth and an all-embracing energy surround (ka). The principle cuisine is from the robata grill, which originates from the fishermen of the northern coastal waters off japan, who would cook the fish on the boats with different charcoals and share the bounty with one another using their oars.

ROKA charlotte street opened in 2004, ROKA canary wharf in 2009, ROKA mayfair in february 2014 and ROKA aldwych in october 2014.

Fabulous food as always. Greatish service. But was seated next to such terribly noisy people that the charm was a bit lost.

Generally very good. Only disappointed to see some of the dishes got smaller... Spinach salad was smaller than before and the popcorn shrimp was ridiculously small.

It’s just delicious! Great vibe in the room. The dumplings and crispy duck are a must have. We watched the iceberg lettuce dish being made. Should have ordered that.

The food is very good as usual. Love starters, sashimi, mains, and desserts. However the service is not good this time. The waitress is really busy and the guy brings our food to the table too hurry. I don't feel relaxed when the table service is like this, and I really do not appreciate how we were served. When the mains came, three mains came on a different time with rice. Hope the service will be improved in the future.

My fiancée and I went here for our anniversary and chose the most expensive set menu to sample a wide variety of dishes. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions, as we had expected them to be smaller. Additionally, the ambiance was very pleasant, and the restaurant is situated in a great location.
