ROKA Charlotte Street serves contemporary japanese robatayaki cuisine in striking yet informal surrounding in the heart of London’s media district.

In warm weather the glass walls open onto the street outside creating a semi-alfresco ambience throughout. During summer, outside tables are available for dining.

The Shochu Lounge is the bar and lounge area beneath ROKA charlotte street. The award winning Shochu takes its name from Japan’s other national drink - Shochu. Known for serving traditional and contemporary cocktails as well as homemade tonics in this intimate basement lounge bar where guests can also enjoy ROKA dishes from the kitchen.
Please note Shochu Lounge is open Wednesday to Saturday only for dinner service.
Shochu lounge operates an over 21 years old policy.

    Join us on weekdays and enjoy our pre & post-theatre set menus. Choose from the Classic menu for £38 per person or Premium menu for £48 per person. Both menus consist of three courses and feature a selection of first course dishes designed to share, followed by a choice of main and dessert. Available Monday to Friday 5:00pm - 6:45pm and 9:30pm -10:00pm (not available on Bank Holidays)

    Soft shell crab and mushroom and truffle rice pot really delicious and perfectly executed. Very disappointed that no proper list of Japanese teas.

    Terrific food as ever. We ordered the season menu and the service was really slow, and this is the second time we have noticed this. other diners who ordered a la carte seemed to get their food much quicker. Next time we will only order a la carte

    We ate at the counter area which is an electric culinary experience where you not only enjoy your meal but see (and smell) the preparation of all of Roka’s masterful dishes… the staff are quick and attentive and there is a “dinner theatre” buzz in the air.

    We love Roka normally and booked it for my wife’s birthday but 1. There was a hair in my wife’s rice dish (to be fair they replaced this) 2. They forgot 3 items on our order 3. They didn’t realise about the 3 items until they wondered what we were waiting for and we wondered when they were going to bring the other dishes Just not going to go back as soon as maybe try a different branch?

    They added a 35% extra charge to the bill, shocking. The food and drinks were approximately £160, and I paid £217, including service and additional charges. Unacceptable. They were ripping off. I will never return.

    Exceptional food, no question. A bit of a delay being seated as the clock room was full. Requested a window seat, was seated one away from the window but it was in the walkway of all the servers & guests so my bag & I were constantly being pushed & nudged which made it very uncomfy. Also for a £55 bottle of wine, the server just poured it & didn’t even ask me to taste? On the basis the service charge wasn’t worth it - although I paid. Disappointing
