   The food was great but the service left a lot to be desired. We went for my brothers birthday and came early to let the staff know who's birthday it was. Then at the table the server just came asking "what we want" and never really greeted us or went over the menu or the flow of the meal like most Japanese steakhouses do. Everything felt so rushed and hurried there was a lack of attention to detail - they filled our sparkling water with still water. My brother was eating his $100 wagyu steak and they came out with his chocolate cake birthday dessert while he was in the middle of eating his steak not to mention our mom was in the bathroom and wasn't there to celebrate him. It was just crazy I've never seen anything like that especially not at a place at the caliber of Roka Akor. Finally, the server never brought out the dessert menu and we had to ask for it. At that point we just left. What we thought was going to be a special dinner turned into a rushed, un-personalized event. Would not recommend for special events, more like a business dinner spot that you want to leave quickly.

   Happy hour was a great deal. Food is decent, fresh seafood, and service is pleasant. Easy to get booking so i will definitely come back.

   Food was fantastic as usual. I’ve been to Roka Akor 4 times and every prior time service was great. Last night was poor. Once we gave our order our waiter never looked at us; I had to ask a server to flag him down to tell him we had sent back a sushi dish we didn’t order. Even with three plates of sushi—no soy sauce given to us until I asked a server twice (unlike every other table in the restaurant. Check came and unordered sushi was still on bill. I had to ask someone to flag down waiter to fix it. He seemed shocked that it was still on there and took it off and brought a new check. Balance for bill went down but suggested tips didn’t change on the payment copy—how does that even happen? Isn’t the 18, 20 and 22% multiplied by the final check price. To be clear The payment copy and the recalculated bill did not match. I don’t think he was trying to scam an extra few dollars, but I think he was so careless that he didn’t do something correct I would eat again, but not with that waiter

   Outstanding experience from start to finish. Sitting at the chefs counter was such a treat, our server was so friendly and took good care of us. We enjoyed every bite that hit the table, we cannot wait to come back and make more memories at Roka! Thank you to the entire team for the amazing hospitality. I would give the omakase a try on our next visit the chef’s definitely know what they’re doing and provided a one of a kind dining experience.

   Our table of three ordered the Omakase and cocktails. It was fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday, and the team made our experience feel so so special. We will be back!

   We had the omakase (chef's choice) tasting menu with the sake pairings, and it was delicious. The service was attentive and the pace was perfect... neither rushed nor too leisurely.

   Waitress asked if we wanted change, which wasn’t very professional. Then never returned to the table very odd, I wouldn’t have tipped as well if I knew. Food was great.
