    It was our Anniversary and we had a delicious meal and was presented with a lovely chocolate Anniversary wishes, quality of ingredients and the cooking of them was first class

    Service, atmosphere and food were all excellent. We came to celebrate my sister's birthday. there was a dj outside so we sat and had cocktails listening to chilled basey music in the sunshine, before moving inside for dinner. My sister and I both went for the fillet steak, which I would normally request was cooked rare but Rocksalt only serves it either medium rare or well done. Do not be put off by this if you like a rare steak, the medium rare was absolutely perfect 👌🏻 probably one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Our friend had the cod which she said was delicious. We didn't have starters or desserts but the menu was varied with plenty of choice. Service was prompt and attentive. We were drinking mojitos, and a couple of them were not to my taste so these were tweaked and came back perfect. Honestly cannot fault the place or the people, definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special meal out. Not the cheapest of course but you get what you pay for!!

    On arrival the staff we're attentive . The first course was good arrived quickly. We had to wait 30 minutes for our main course. We informed the staff that the Vino verde was not child as it should be. Upon which they placed in an ice bucket & told us to wait.The Skate was good but the Lemon sole swimming in to much sauce with carrots & potatoes over cooked & gray . For what was served it's expensive . Didn't come to our expectations

    We were the second party in the door, we had called ahead to request a window seat and explained we had a pram as this was a special occasion and had booked over a month in advance. When I had spoken to someone in the week they said they would try their best which i completely understand nothing is guaranteed, however on the day we were told that the table we were allocated with a view of the sea we wouldn’t be allowed to sit at because of the pram. They then changed our table to one right in the corner near a fire exit. To add insult to injury another party with a pram and baby sat at a window seat with no issues. We have also previously taken our newborn with us and been allowed to sit at the type of table we were initially allocated with the same pushchair so I am perplexed as to what the issue was this time. It really put a dampener on the start of our evening especially as this was done when the entire restaurant was empty. The food was nice but nothing special and something we could have had at home; and because we were tucked away in Timbuktu we had to wait quite a while to get someone’s attention when we needed something. It’s a shame because the last time we went to rocksalt the food was good and the service was prompt which is why I chose it for such a special occasion, I think the table fiasco really let the evening down. It’s a shame because we are reconsidering whether we eat there again.

    Excellent service is what sets this restaurant apart. Food was good, as anticipated, but it was refreshing to see a restaurant properly staffed with people who were skilled in their jobs. From the front of house, to the cocktail guys upstairs, to the service staff in the main restaurant, everyone was excellent. I have a nut allergy and this was handled exceptionally, without making me feel like it was a massive deal or inconvenience. I always explain my allergy when ordering, so the kitchen knows, but I was pleasantly surprised when every single thing brought to our table was confirmed as nut free before being set down, even when being served by different staff to the server who took the order. These little things really do make a difference when eating out with an allergy. Ambience was Friday night buzzy with the restaurant full even though we had a late sitting. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

    Lovely evening. Staff very attentive and knew their onions so to speak. Only thing I would say is the music didn’t work. Very weird. Then stopped. Then started. Needed some lovely background music that you do t really listen to but it’s on in the back ground. Other than that a lovely experience…

    First time I'd been back to Rocksalt for a few years as had previously been disappointed. We were very impressed by the food & service and the venue as always was fabulous

    The food was excellent and delivered quickly. The service was very good and the overall environment really nice. The only (minor) frustration was that although we arrived comfortably in time for Happy Hour we were told that this facility was only available for drinks ordered at the bar upstairs rather that from the table in the restaurant. There seems no logic to this, only inconvenience to the paying customer as the drinks ordered from the bar were happily brought to the table.
