    Great service, lovely food and a great view of the stunning working harbour and harbour arm. Just hope this view stays the same but I fear it will change in the future due to over development of the harbour

    Lovely location and views Food was excellent Staff were friendly and helpful but service was very slow mainly from the kitchen not the wait staff as such Took us almost 2.5hrs to have 2 courses on a Sunday afternoon, the longest being the wait between the starters and main and we’d only ordered two roasts

    They were initially accommodating as was originally booked for four people but had to be changed that morning to three as one of the party was taken ill. Also due to traffic around the marina we were running late and again I can not fault the member of staff that we spoke to reassuring us that we wouldn’t lose our table. We arrived and asked if we could be seated outside but unfortunately they were all taken /reserved (as we expected) but again the member of staff was accommodating and seated us by the window so we will still had the amazing view. Then unfortunately it all went a bit awry. When we were seated we were asked if we wanted any water for the table, we asked for tap water and was advised that someone would be over shortly. We waited a while for the water and noticed that the two tables seated after us all had received their water (bottled ) should ordering bottled to tap make a difference? It did make us feel that maybe as we were not paying for it it was not seen as a priority. Then the bread came out before we had ordered any drinks. Finally a member of staff came over to take our drinks order but again this took a while to come to the table. We then had to wait further for another waiter to come and take our food order. I’m afraid the whole theme of this email is how long we had to wait for everything. Starters took nearly 45 mins; 2 dishes were cold and then when these were presented we had to wait a further for the mussel starter. The main was over an hour from starters and again the dishes came out sporadically, we had to start eating while we waited for the sides, the member of staff did apologise. There was no cohesion when handing out the dishes, surely if a table has 6 dishes to hand out for one course one member of staff isn’t enough? By this point we had been there for 2 hours and only been asked once if we would like another drink. Empty water bottle was never topped up and empty glasses were not taken away. S

    Booked in for 8.30 seated at 8.40 wasn't offered the late evening diner menu so presumed the menu were were given was the deal menu. We had 2 courses a cocktail and a bottle of wine 166.00 total cost. So value was poor. We got our starters before any drinks arrived, had to ask for our wine twice. Cocktails arrived after the wine at the same time as main course so service was poor, which made the 18.00 service charge a joke. Food was tasteless especially the lamb. And the gents were out of order and the disabled toilet we had to use was filthy bins overflowing etc. Needless to say we won't be back. Very very disappointed

    A lovely experience, we always have a great meal at Rocksalt! Service was a tiny bit slow but they were very busy and as the food was delicious not a complaint!

    We were looked after very well. As it was our anniversary the staff really helped us celibrate 20 years.

    Not our first visit, and it was as good as the last time. The attentive service and the views compliment the great food. While fish is the majority of the dishes ( why wouldn't it be), there are choices of meat and vegetarian. The fish is great so we went with that and were not disappointed. Well done and we hope to be back soon.

    We booked a table for a special occasion and we were given a lovely table by the window so had a wonderful view of the harbour. As it was mid week the restaurant wasn’t very busy and the service was very good. The food was incredible and would definitely re-visit for a special occasion.
