Very pleasant hosts and waitstaff. Good drinks, but expensive for this restaurant type. Good is nice--note that lobster in avocado halves salad is really Mayo-based lister salad inside an avocado cup, not just lobster meat at $28 for an avocado with chopped lobster in lots of dressing scooped in. Other seafood was good. Nice view.

Made reservation for a table. For some reason we could not sit in the dining room. Our only option was the bar. Chose a table as far away from the live music(one man and a guitar) as possible. 1. Took forever to be acknowledged. Was about to walk out but someone finally came over. 2. Music was EXTREMELY loud and quite frankly the singer was tough to listen to. 3. My burger had no flavor. Will not be going back. Unfortunate for them as I spend every weekend in Mystic with my family.

Older style but very nice … large Inn , beautiful view of channel and sound . Very easy access to downtown and to drawbridge. 5 min to museum and about 5-10 min to I 95 . We ate very early afternoon mussels, lobster bisque. And Scampi were great

The view from the patio at sunset was really nice. The food was good. One appetizer we got was fried calamari. There were more peppers than calamari. The bacon wrapped scallops was very tasty. The ribeye special was perfectly cooked. Fish and chips were delicious. Last was the desserts. Cheesecake was creamy and not dry. Pineapple upside down was moist. Both were very good. Totally recommend eating here.

Four of the six dinners that were ordered were incomplete when they were delivered. The fish and chips were missing a piece of fish and the salads were missing all of the extras that should’ve been been on the Cobb salad like bacon and blue cheese and tomatoes. Our waiter was great, though, and was able to bring additional items to us. We ate outside and it’s a great spot for outdoor dining.

I go out to eat 2-3 times a week. We chose Rocks 21 to celebrate our anniversary, because of the beautiful view and good food. It is about a 40-minute drive to come here which we do about 8 times a year. The service here was the second worst I remember having. The server totally ignored us. We managed to place our food order and drink order in. Next time we saw her was after we finished eating, the place only had 2 other tables going on the deck, and the other server took great care of them. When kitchen staff brought our food, we asked for drink refills. The drinks never came. It was a horrible way to celebrate 39 years of marriage. We are going to wait for next spring before we visit again, maybe they will have better service by then.

Seated outside on the patio. View was incredible. Food was served hot. Nothing terrible but nothing spectacular either. Service was good. Live music was very enjoyable.

The place is very tired looking. If you want a water view and don’t care about the food you can get it there. I had the fried clam strips. They were crispy but had absolutely no flavor. My husband had chicken parmigiana, it was overcooked and the sauce tasted like Ragu out of a jar. Clam chowder was tasty and my friend enjoyed her grilled shrimp tacos.
