For more than one hundred years, fishing has been a vital part of Monterey’s economy. Monterey’s historic Fisherman’s Wharf with its colorful shops, seafood markets, and flavorful restaurants, is a reflection of that history.     The only issue was the waiter forgot our bread basket and we had to ask for it after our main course had arrived. The bread did not seem fresh? It was hard on the outside. But the rest of our meal was good and the staff was attentive refilling our water glass and soda. The best part of this restaurant it the view.

    My brother-in-law and I both ordered the “special” which was seabass. We were told it was $35 and that they only had 4 left. When our meals arrived we each had tiny portions of seabass - probably 3 ounces. When our server finally came back to check on us, we asked about portion size. He said we had received 8 ounces, but that he would speak to the manager. He came back, said the portions had actually been 7 ounces and that he would take $10 off our bill. We assumed he meant $10 for each meal, but no, it was $10. Our total bill for 4 was $225 before tip. We won’t be back.

    The location is nice, but the food was just okay and it was really expensive.

    Our date night was simple, delicious, and enjoyable. The waiter suggested a modification to accommodate my husband's allergies. The servers were all very attentive. The food was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The view of the harbor was fantastic. Thank you, Rockfish Harbor Grill!

    Nice location end of wharf and overlooking the marina. Fun watching the sea otters. Food was ok, fried food was disappointing and tasteless, and the mash potato was instant, so as long as you stay away from these you’ll be fine. Staff were lovely.

    Excellent customer service. We were seated immediately after arriving late for a reservation. The hostess was kind and our waiter was very patient. The food came out quickly and was ok… My husband had the seafood trio and it was a bit bland but still fresh and the scallops were cooked very well. I had the fish tacos (fried fish) and it was good but needed a little extra pico. My sons ordered the fried prawns and fries and the chicken Alfredo… they both enjoyed their meals. Overall good experience.

    Overall, food was good. Shrimp scampi was delicious; fish/chips was crunchy on outside, moist inside; calamari steak was tender and flavorful and kids menu had choices kids liked. Mind you, it was the 4th of July weekend and restaurant was full. Service was not good. We were a party of 5 adults and two kids under 8 yrs old. Server was rushing us to order even tho all our party hadn't arrived. We ordered apps to start so everyone could look at menu. Server was pushing us to order meal. Later we ordered meal. Apps took a while to come...about 20 min for fried calamari and crab/artichoke dip. Food came about 10 min after. We were not offered dessert but told we needed to finish up because there was another reservation at our table. We felt rushed.
