Ro is a laid-back Bar & Kitchen in an emerging area of Heaton. We aim to bring quality drinks and exciting new food vendors to the good people of Newcastle! Our lounge seating is perfect for date night, whilst our terrace is perfect for squeezing the most out of the Great British Summer!

Ro boasts a carefully curated cocktail list, changing seasonally; as well as a weekly-rotated wine list and locally sourced craft and draught beers.

Currently in residence in the Ro kitchen is Pattymelts, serving Americana burgers and fries to rival any from across the pond. Head Chef Josh has a history in fine-dining kitchens and brings all that experience to Ro, creating everything* in house from scratch, from bread to burgers (*everything but the cheese!).

Food was really nice and the portions are a nice size and the drink selection is good and staff are friendly and really good at recommending drinks

Went for a quick bite before a gig. Very impressive smash burger and good portion sizes and it comes with decent fries. Went for the sandwich style which was a good choice. Juicy burger with nice trimmings and the bread as beautifully crunchy. Standout was the lasagna bites, I could live on those bad boys! Only let down was a limited choice of 0% drinks but don't let that

Tremendous service, burgers and drinks a great atmosphere and very knowledgeable and friendly staff made us feel very welcome, I can't fault the place.

The food was incredible! We had the OG beef sandwich and chicken and cheese sandwich, and the chicken karaage. The karaage in particular was phenomenal! The bar mostly had high stool seats but also some sofas, comfortable atmosphere and good vibes overall. It was a bit quiet in there at times but that was fine. The man behind the bar seemed quite hungover/tired and not super cheerful, but we all have bad days. Will definitely go again!

A lovely cosy spot with fantastic drinks, delicious food and brilliant service. Had a lovely afternoon at Ro and will definitely be back!

A lovely, chilled way to spend an early evening Sunday. The Chesterfield cocktail (Laphroaig & fig cocktail) was amazing. Music, atmosphere, super chilled. Looking forward to our next visit.

The best burger I have had in Newcastle! With very very good cocktails at a great price point! Had a lovely eve. Only reason for a 4 rather than 5 star rating is that the door doesn’t shut itself and everyone that left, would leave it open, and so someone had to keep getting up to close it again! And it was very drafty, particularly if you were sat anywhere near the door. Other than that…it was great!
