Restaurant was incredibly lovely inside. Was very perturbed by the music choices and volume of such. I love classic rock, but 8 Queen songs, followed by 6 Prince songs in a row is a little odd.

When planning our trip to Ottawa from NYS, Riviera was one of the top rated places to eat in town and it still exceeded our expectations. We sat at the counter and loved being able to watch the food get made while we ate our delicious plates. We were there on a Friday night and it never got insanely busy, but we did leave around 8:30pm so maybe it picks up after that. Our server, Tim, was also wonderful, but it was tough to serve people at the counter since he couldn’t hear us well and would sometimes accidentally sneak up on us lol. Either way, he made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. We also took photos at the Photo Booth in the back. It was the smallest booth seat ever made lol, but still a cute add to the environment.

Fantastic experience. Food was delicious and Stephanie, our server was delightful! Food was perfectly cooked, delivered promptly and was temperature appropriate. Special requests were respected and dietary needs were remembered and recommendations were made with those in mind. All around a totally enjoyable evening!

We were very disappointed in our dining experience at Riviera. The relentless blasting 80’s rock music was not conducive to “fine dining!” It was difficult to hear our server and each other. Our server was pleasant and efficient as we made selections. Cocktails and Chardonnay were good but the food was only fair. The Burrata and Tomato Starter was tasty but needed crostini etc to elevate it. My companion had the Cod and said it was quite good but cold. I had a vegetarian pasta and asked for oil and herb sauce along with the “seasonal vegetables” recommended by our server. The dish was awful. A handful of corn niblets and several pieces of mushroom were not the seasonal vegetables I expected; the “vegan cheese” sauce to “bind it” had an off putting taste that ruined any hope the dish had. We opted to go elsewhere for dessert and coffee because it was so noisy. Our highly anticipated experience was a 2/5. Cannot recommend.

cadre très atypique, à ne pas manquer lors d'un passage à Ottawa. Cuisine apparente.

The service was a bit slow. We sat outside and bugs constantly ending inside our wine glasses.

What a meal! The food was fantastic and the cocktails were even better. We had an outstanding server who surprised us with different types of cocktails based on what we liked and he nailed it every time. 100% recommend!

I have one of the best experiences at the bar. I went to celebrate a very special occasion and I was surprised by the amazing cocktails prepared by the bartenders.
