Recently reopened for daily dining in May, Riverwalk offers the perfect blend of fine dining and scenic beauty. Reserve your table today and celebrate the holiday with a festive meal in the heart of historic Yorktown! We will require a $10 deposit per guest at the time of booking. The deposit will be taken off your tab when paying at the end of your meal.

Very nice dinner at Riverwalk tonight. Crab cakes and chicken Chesapeake dishes were both very good. Wait staff was very attentive. We missed this place! Back with a totally different menu and very good.

I was so excited to try this place but was so disappointed with the quality of my food. The short rib was tough as leather, I took two bites and just couldn’t bring myself to keep eating it. The calamari tasted like they fried it in oil that wasn’t hot enough so it was very soggy and they put a sweet sauce over the top that didn’t go with the dish at all. I heard through a local that they changed ownership recently and it’s gone downhill since. The restaurant is very pretty though and the servers were very nice and did a good job.

Distracting fruit flies all around our table and faces as well as the table next to us. The table view was nice ,with a view of the water and the Coleman bridge. The waitress was nice , but she was one 2 serving a Resturant half full inside and completely full outside. Not enough help. The she crab soup was good, but had to send it back because it was lukewarm.The oysters on the half shell were very good.

Our waitress was so attentive and made certain to keep our table supplied with the most delicious hush puppies. The salmon and risotto were perfectly prepared. Lookin out on the water made the evening perfect.

Update: General manager Bree called and apologized for our poor experience and refunded us. She was very professional. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to other people now that she is aware of it. Sat at 11:55. Ordered pretty quickly. Soup came out pretty fast but entrees not until 1pm. This was after the server telling us it was coming several times and letting the hostess know we were leaving if the food didn’t come out soon. The manager did come out but was honestly pretty rude. I felt bad for the server. He gave us 20% off the check. The food was not good. Roll for crab cake sandwich was stale, fries were cold. My boyfriend said the fish tacos were the worse he ever had. Great view but other than that it was an awful experience.

We were excited to hear that Riverwalk Restaurant had reopened after being closed during Covid19 that affected so many local restaurants. Open Table is such an easy way to make reservations and have a chance to review menus! Thursday night was not busy and the option for dinning al fresco is available with great views of the York River. Our indoor table had very nice views of the river and beach at Yorktown. Our wait staff was very friendly and did not rush our dining experience. Our meals were delicious and my Wiener Schnitzel, the national dish of Austria, was wonderful. The new owner of the restaurant came over to our table and introduced himself. My wife and I told him how happy we were that the restaurant had reopened, and we promised to return often.
