We took my father in law here for his birthday and it was absolutely amazing. We were treated like family by our sever Amanda and the food was delicious. 5 ⭐️

We enjoyed our lunch and especially appreciated Amanda's attentive and friendly service. The butternut squash soup was particularly delicious, as was the caramel carrot cake cheesecake. (Excellent coffee too!)

We were celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday and I believe I had acknowledged that in the notes when booking. I wasn’t expecting anything free but I was hoping for a acknowledgement of the celebration. Service provider was on her own, I get that’s a lot but I’m not sure the customers paying should suffer. Food was cold when it came up. Chowder especially. Taco shell was cold. My brother was almost done his meal before his gravy came and he had to go searching for condiments for his fries. Location and table chosen was lovely. The service provider was nice but clearly overwhelmed by the lunch demand. We didn’t allow any of this to ruin the day.

My wife and I booked at Riverside to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. As on previous visits the service was excellent. One of the main complaints however was the noise level, the restaurant was full and and we almost had to shout at each other to be heard. Not ideal for a celebration however that being said our waitress and I assume the manager were both extremely cordial and accommodating. My wife had the salmon and a spinach salad which she really enjoyed and I had the schnitzel. I found my order to be somewhat bland although the portion was huge. A bonus was that we received an order of cheesecake with caramel sauce compliments of the Riverside. Would we come back - absolutely but not on a Sat night.

I have been a frequent diner over the years at this quaint Riverside Restaurant in Norland. I have never been disappointed. The owner is friendly and makes you feel like an old friend as soon as you walk through the doors. The ambience is that of a private dining room and is nearly always full. I would recommend making a reservation to avoid a wait and you will be pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the service they provide. The food.... the food... is always hot and absolutely delicious and the portions are huge. Very good value for money and an excellent experience. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had not been for about a year and we were a little disappointed with our meals French onion soup lacked in taste but was hot Riverside salad is made different from what I remember red peppers and onions overwhelming Asian crispy chicken - we both had and mine had so much sauce that I had to scoop the rice out and ask for some plain rice I should have sent the dish back We don't think that we will be back

Always enjoy the Riverside Inn - great food and exceptional service from all of the staff. Can’t resist their Schnitzel Dinner and my husband loves their crispy Asian Chicken or Pork. Nice choices for red wine too. Nice to have a nice place for dinner out, that is so close and open year round.
