D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : James Beard semifinalist Randy Rucker and his wife-partner Amanda Rucker opened this American gem in 2019 dedicated to spotlighting seasonal ingredients from the region. The intimate dining room feels like an extension of the open kitchen, where a four-course menu changes constantly, from sweet amalia oysters with buttermilk ponzu & trout roe to smoked steelhead trout with maple, celeriac & agretti. The results landed River Twice on the New York Times's list of the best Philadelphia restaurants.


Philosophie

Our goal is to encourage a sincere connection to the Delaware River Valley and mid-Atlantic region through the ingredients we select and the dishes we serve. A close relationship with local purveyors allows us to develop an evolving menu, making every visit a unique experience.

Ticket includes seven courses complete with Champagne pairing | 250 a person :: MENU :: tinned clams with preserved citrus & olive oil   queso blanco with fermented black truffle & fresh sourdough tortillas   fried potatoes with oyster mayo & golden ossetra caviar   mushroom gumbo with sea island rice peas & smoked maine unagi   dirty rice of monkfish liver, shrimp & maine uni   all beef hotdog with scallop xo, miso mustard & fried onions   black walnut clafouti with wild vanilla & apple butter ::ABOUT CHAMPAGNE FLEURY:: The Fleury estate was founded 1895 in Courteron in the heart of southern Champagne in the Côte des Bar. The domain lies nestled among the clay-limestone hillsides formed in the Kimmeridgian period by the first tributaries of the Seine. The Source of the River Seine begins 70 km upstream, towards Saint-Seine-l'Abbaye. The family’s passion for viticulture has been fueled by the adventure of Biodynamic principals, giving a new meaning to the profession. To be respectful of the natural and living heritage of this terroir, where custodians of the land forever learn, in all humility, to perceive the balance and to unearth its mysteries. Run today by the 4th generation, Domain Fleury is above all a family story of shared passion and innovation in the art of wine growing in accordance with nature.     The tasting menu is not as good as it used to be. The food tonight was very BLaND, especially the quail entree. Sadly, not worth the money anymore.

    A little gem! The food was outstanding. Each course was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and engaging. We had an absolutely wonderful evening!

    Our server, Nick spoiled us with impeccable service. He was knowledgeable about wine and spoke to the food and presentations like a seasoned pro. Nick made our experience 10/10, although the complimentary caviar certainly helped 🙂

    I have been waiting to get the chance to eat at River Twice for more than a year. It actually exceeded my expectations, the food was fabulous and the ambiance was fantastic. I can't wait to go back!
