River House does have a dressy casual dress code consisting of no shorts, flip flops, baseball hats or tank tops in the dining room for the gentlemen. Comparable attire for the ladies. Children under 16 are exempt. We do offer complimentary pants to guests that may need them.
River House corkage policy is a maximum of 3 bottles per reservation without management consent at $35 per bottle.
River House has a 24-hour cancellation and No-Show Policy consisting of $25 per person plus a 18% SVC Charge.

In the South, there’s an intimate connection between the table and the land. Our fertile soil feeds corn and cattle. The palmettos provide cover for quail and game. And the ocean provides its bounty with the incoming tide. The River House is a culinary celebration of this relationship and our professed love for the land and waters of the Lowcountry.

Wildly expensive for what it is. Was told by a couple leaving to avoid the steaks here. They told us it was not well cooked, to the point their entrees were taken off the bill. If the steaks are $75-100, they should be perfect every time. I ordered the ahi tuna which tasted like it had just been removed from the freezer. Not good value and would not return. Very disappointed given what we spent there.

Such a great place to celebrate special anniversary with friends. Service by Bryce was outstanding. All staff were attentive to our needs. The menu had very creative choices which all exceeded our expectations- risotto, duck confit, wild boar tenderloin, venison and scallops were cooked to perfection. The head chef even came out and spoke with us. The amibance was clearly 5 star.

The River Room is a fantastic restaurant with an old school feel. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding. Definitely a go-to fine dining place for Palmetto Bluff!

Lovely experience overall. Food was very good, but pricey. Atmosphere was good, but a bit cool in multiple ways... lighting, temp, music (which wasn't audible until the end of our meal) all just ok. Service was excellent. Beautiful setting surrounding us, but expected a more romantic evening, with a warmer, more intimate vibe... Though it's lovely, was unfamiliar with the ambiance, decor, etc.. Still, a very nice establishment and staff.

Every time we go to the River House it is excellent. Bryce’s service was exceptional. It’s worth the effort to get a reservation. Tonight’s faves were the tuna duo, the gnocchi, filet/ribeye with the au poive sauce And the lemon drops. So very good. Views also never disappoint.
