    Best view in town! Great food and service. We did not see a freight on this visit, but bonus if you do.

    I chose to make the hour drive and make the River Crab the choice for our anniversary dinner based on it's reviews as well as the location on the waterfront. We had 6:30 reservations and were able to get a table outside on the deck with fantastic views of the St Clair River. We order drinks and my wife ordered some clam chowder which she thought was excellent. For dinner, I order the large prime rib cooked Medium-rare and my wife the lobster tail. We enjoyed the drinks and enjoyed the view while we waited for our entrees, which took about an hour to reach us. The first thing I noticed was that the prime rib didn't look medium-rare and was almost a grey in color. I cut into the meat and sure enough, it was medium-well to well. I showed the waitress and she seemed surprised on how well it was done, which shocked me because I would think she would have looked at the meat when picking it up and could see it was obviously way overcooked. She said she would take it back and get me a piece cooked medium-rare. While waiting for her to return, my wife started on her lobster tail and found it was also way overcooked. She had to borrow my steak knife to cut the lobster up. She was disappointed, but starving at this point and decided to eat it and not wait for another. She ate about half of it before decided she wasn't enjoying it and had enough. That's when the waitress returned with the same piece of prime rib that she brought me previously. She told me that this was the best the kitchen could come up with, everything else was cooked the same way. At this point, we had been there almost 90 minutes and I decided to decline the offer to order some other entrée, I was unhappy and didn't feel like waiting any longer. We she asked about my wife's lobster tail, noticing that it was only half-eaten, we explained that it was also over-cooked and she took it away.     We had a wonderful dinner.with a beautiful view of the river! We saw multiple freighters pass by along with a Viking cruise ship! Great service and great food which made for a perfect evening!

    Great location and river views. Feedback on our experience, which was overall 'disappointing": a) Waitress was new -- service slow; b) She didn't know the menu and couldn't answer questions about it e.g. there were at least two questions we had that she had to go to the kitchen to get answers, she forgot things; c) Cocktail order mistakes (plural) made; d) My lake perch was cold; so was my wife's dinner. On the positive side, our waitress seemed to try to do her best and was pleasant. At times she seemed to be overwhelmed. Creme Brulee was great.

    Great night out - 3 generations aged 70 down to 2. All completely enjoyed down the night! Freighters were busy on the river and even saw a Viking cruise liner. Food and service “top box” for each of us!!! Ambiance great - and I’ve already mentioned the view!!!

    Let me start by saying that our food was delicious (once we actually got it) and the view here is one of a kind! Our service on the other hand was very disappointing. We came here for our anniversary and made the mistake of switching to an out door table last minute. It took 35 minutes to get our first drink. I ordered a pomegranate martini and my husband ordered an old fashioned. Our server, Tyler brought us two martinis. He fixed the mistake, but that too took a very long time. He was super inattentive, did not bring us bread like every other table had, rarely checked on us and was just in general SO slow. We wanted dessert, but since our service was so slow and it was dark outside by this time, we decided to go inside and sit at the bar. We ordered dessert and two dessert wines and the service was very friendly and fast inside. We were looking forward to this anniversary meal for so long and are just bummed that the service was so poor. We drove 40 minutes to get here, so I don’t think we will be back.

    Everything - Food service ambience- was absolutely amazing as always!! Unfortunately, we did have on complaint. The calamari was different. Not very good at all, hard and rubbery. We love to order this as an appetizer every time we go to River Crab. It is one of our favorites on the menu. Unfortunately, it was not very good this time.
