Located in an historic miner's cabin on Pearl Street, River and Woods serves Colorado Comfort Cuisine. Just didn't seem to be a great combination of food, atmosphere and service. The food was a bit off beat and strange and certainly a long way from what's available elsewhere, especially for the money, including the insulting 6% surcharge.

Service was great. TBurrata - great concept with melon but far far too little burrata versus melon and tomato. - pasta primavera sauce tasted like pure tomato sauce - not a lot of flavor and not many vegetables. Added chicken and it was just a basic breast on top with no flavor. Sadly disappointed.

This is an excellent find for us! It is a cozy little spot we were unaware of in the Boulder area. We were warmly welcomed when we walked in the door, and the evening continued with a super fantastic server and excellent food. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food that we received. I would highly recommend that you try this place out!

Very pricey for basic food. Drip coffee $5 charged for queso and salsa with burrito $4. Better options. Need more of a coffee selection.

We unintentionally arrived an hour early and with a smaller party. sincerely appreciated the hostess seating us early! Also Appreciated water at the table. Food was delicious; amazing GF, SF, DF options!! Cant get this at home… understand why CO is the healthiest state in the Union!

When we received our check, we had a 6% charge labeled "Market Surcharge". When we asked our server what this was, she said it was "to ensure the freshness of the ingredients". So now we are expected to pay a surcharge in order for the food we are served to be fresh?? There was no mention of this on their menu or anywhere in the restaurant. It was just sprung on us at the end. To make matters worse, my wife's salad had some lettuce leaves with brown spots that she had to take out of her salad. So much for the surcharge "to ensure freshness". We will not be returning.

Wonderful meal! Love the venue -- cozy and whimsical. Service was slow but the food and ambience made up for it.

What an amazing experience from service, to food, to ambiance - to it all! We brought our pup and sat in the backyard, which was so comfy and cozy. First off, everyone who works there is so friendly, they really do make you feel like you are truly at home - and the food, wow!! Talk about farm to table it was just done so well. Thanks to the entire staff for such a wonderful experience!

Husband’s Cesar salad came without dressing and a very red brown leaf. They could have caught that. Rather wilted for $14. His medium rare burger was rare. My Farmers salad was underwhelming. Dressing had no flavor. My side of slow braised short ribs was tasty but too salty. Table we requested a week in advance we were not given. Asked for another table and ended up in a very noisy spot where we couldn’t talk as we couldn’t hear each other. Won’t be going back and we used to frequent it often. Wait staff was lovely. Manager needs to learn to not argue with customers and instead ask for what they could have done to make the experience better.
