Il Ristorante Traiano domina il centro storico di Roma con la sua sala principale che si affaccia sui Fori e su Piazza Venezia e che è adiacente ai Mercati di Traiano e all’omonima colonna. Una nuova idea di esperienza gastronomica che fa della memoria il suo punto di partenza per una cucina elegante e raffinata.

La creatività e la professionalità della squadra, composta da chef Alessandro Zitelli, sommelier e personale di sala, rendono questo luogo un’occasione unica per scoprire la vera cucina italiana.

Ma Traiano non è solo cucina, è anche un luogo dove trascorrere una serata piacevole dopo cena, gustando un cocktail o un calice di vino selezionato con cura dalla carta che comprende etichette nazionali ed internazionali.

La Champagnerie, situata al piano inferiore del ristorante, è un’esperienza di lusso immersa nella storia di Roma, antica e moderna.

The food was an absolute disaster!!! The bread was stale, the risotto undercooked and hard, the fish all dried out and super salty… We basically only ate parts of the appetizer and the desert of our NYE menu value 150€ p/p excl. drinks. The waiters were stressed and rushed because there were so many complaints, but they did their best and remained friendly and apologetical. Some tables even left the restaurant after the second course. Unfortunately this was also my partners 40th birthday (which I told the restaurant in advance but they completely ignored it) and I wanted to make this evening very special. I’m glad she is a good sport and we took it with humor. It’s very sad about the money we’ve spent though. We could have had a week worth of fantastic pasta and pizza for that.

It was one of the WORST dinner experiences of my life. Pre-paid €500 (Very Expensive!!!) for New Year’s Even dinner last night. First, there was no service, had to ask couple times to order some wine. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE! One of the dishes was a cod fish that seemed like a rubber, impossible to eat. After complaining, the server stopped coming to our table all together. We left without finishing the dinner (we had 3 courses left) that we already paid for but did not even want to try. After talking to the manager she was very apologetic about the situation. She admitted the problems going on that evening, several people had complained. The manager stated that she would do her best to get us a refund, after discussing with the owner, because of our horrible experience. We ended up getting pizza to go on the way back to our place. Beautiful place w/ a nice view. Nothing else. Never got a refund

Such a good restaurant with amazing food, nice view and good service. Everything was just great. 10/10 for this place !!! When in Rome ; you must go and have diner here. The food will blow you away.

Staff was very good. Spoke English well and did a good job recommending reasonably priced wine. Food was fine, but not remarkable. Only 3 or 4 tables seated on a Friday night, versus other restaurants where tables were hard to find. I don’t regret it, but wouldn’t go back.

Fabulous food, and outstanding service! After we ate, our waiter Valerio took us on a tour of the historical cellar, and then we went outside and he told us more about the history of the area. The dining table and chairs were very comfortable, with fun decor and a lovely view of the area. There were four of us, and we all felt it was our favorite restaurant of our week long holiday in Rome.
