Consistently excellent , Mike Matre D always friendly and welcoming. High quality food with extensive menu and nice portions. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu

My husband and I visited MV on a Saturday evening - table booked for 8pm. When we arrived, we were greeted by a rather surly hostess, did not say a word to us. She led us to our table and we were sat along the back wall, with about 12 inches between us and the next table. It felt like we were having dinner with the couple next to us! The noise level was relatively high. We both like a restaurant with a good atmosphere and energy but my husband and I were struggling to hold a conversation. We ordered wine but that took forever to arrive (arrived once we had started our entrees!). We shared a starter (which was delicious!) and plenty for two. Our main courses were OK, nothing to shout about. We had high hopes for MV as we had heard so many good things but sadly it fell short for us and will not be returning.

Our experience was fine overall. The good: the appetizers were good, beautiful building, service was good and decently timed, if a little impersonal (but that's down to each waiter/personal preference). The not so good: all the food is about 20% more expensive than it should be, in my opinion, for what you're getting. Mixed drinks were also way overpriced as well and nothing to write home about. The modern dance music didn't really fit the Tuscan vibe the rest of the place had. Entree's were fine, but forgettable. The host also seemed to be in a bad mood or annoyed with us or something from the minute we walked in. He brought us to a table, then asked if we wanted to sit at another table, then just sort of gestured in a general direction and walked away, leaving us to sort of guess/pick our own table among a sea of other tables. Really unprofessional and not a good first impression, especially for a place with an upscale reputation that we picked for a celebratory dinner. Not a great way to set the tone for the evening. I'll chalk it up to a bad night or personal issues, but it was a bit of a letdown. (I see others have had issues with the hosts/hostesses, though...) Probably won't be back for these reasons. We had really high expectations of Ristorante MV, but the whole experience sort of fell short.

My husband took me for the first time to Ristorante MV to celebrate my birthday. Being that we are big Italian food lovers - MV did not disappoint. The atmosphere is upbeat and chic. Not overly formal but there is a style to a Saturday night for dinner. We were seated in the bar room since we are not a regular (yet) and still the table was comfortable, spacious and the servers were professional and willing to answer questions regarding the menu. The food was delicious from the calamari my husband ordered to the fresh mixed house salad I had to start. We then had the pasta bolognese and chicken parmesan which both melted in our mouths. Just delicious. We finished by sharing the Affogato for dessert. I've never had anything so decadent-- it was so smooth it didn't taste like ice cream but more like velvet cream with expresso. I can't say enough good things about Ristorante MV! Just go and find out for yourself. Call and make a reservation though-- they are always busy.

This was my second visit to this wonderful restaurant! EVERYTHING is such quality: the lovely ambiance, the food, the wine selection, the service. The beet and bean salad and the creme brulee are amazing!

Food was great but we ate outside on patio right below their speaker which was blasting music making it difficult to hear each other. We asked both the waiter and manager if the music could be turned down a little but they said the boss won't let them adjust the volume. They also said they get the same complaint all the time
