Chef Philip Gagliano is a native New Orleanian of Italian descent who LOVES food! Learning his culinary skills from his mother and grandmothers, Chef Philip serves delightfully classic dishes in an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Menu specialties include Oysters al Oreganate, Chicken & Veal served in 5 classic Italian preparations and USDA Steaks alongside traditional Italian Pasta dishes.
Chef Philip says "I am very attached to my Italian roots and have been in the industry a long time. My wife Mary and I work diligently at the restaurant to make it a wonderful place to dine for all of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you into our restaurant".

Loved this quaint little classy Italian restaurant in Metairie. The service was great and the food was excellent. This was our first visit to this place, but we will definitely be back. Did not meet the Chef, but we met his wife and she was a wonderful host. They have been in business 24 years and the service and quality of the food are why!

Portions were large and delicious . House red was unknown to me and not very good , but the server replaced it with a different wine which was quite good . Very pleasant evening !

Two couples went on a weeknight, and found this place to be nice, clean, safe, and friendly. Menu was full of Italian goodies and we enjoyed several. The bathrooms are upstairs, so be aware. We had good food and a nice time there.

Excellent food and service! We started with Crab Claws then had Puppy Drum Almondine and Chicken Marsala. Chocolate Mousse Cake to finish!

Our waiter was uninterested, lacked menu knowledge and frankly did not care about being in the building! The meat (veal) was prepared well but very small portions. Veal piccata was primarily pasta and too many capers. Flavorful but minimal meat. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the past…disappointing.

Wonderful food and experience. My wife is Italian from New York City. She told Mary, one of the owners, that this was the best Italian food she has had outside New York and Italy. The service was expedient, the food was hot, the Lavazza coffee was delicious and the perfect complement to the cannoli. Ristorante Filippo went to the top of our list of Italian restaurants in Southeast Louisiana.

Ristorante Fillipos on West Napoleon and Causeway. I had chicken scallopini and my husband had pasta with Italian sausage. Both dishes were excellent and the chocolate martinis were the best. We enjoy eating here.
