Chef Philip Gagliano is a native New Orleanian of Italian descent who LOVES food! Learning his culinary skills from his mother and grandmothers, Chef Philip serves delightfully classic dishes in an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Menu specialties include Oysters al Oreganate, Chicken & Veal served in 5 classic Italian preparations and USDA Steaks alongside traditional Italian Pasta dishes.
Chef Philip says "I am very attached to my Italian roots and have been in the industry a long time. My wife Mary and I work diligently at the restaurant to make it a wonderful place to dine for all of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you into our restaurant".

My first time here, I was very impressed! The service was great, the food was hot and absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back again

Hands down, the best Italian food I’ve had in New Orleans. I could drink the red gravy. All of the food was superb from pasta to steaks. The drinks were great. It was pretty expensive though- specifically the drinks. 5 people , dinner and drinks sharing 1 app was $500. I’ll definitely go back though! The main restaurant was pretty spacious but we were crammed in the bar area table and it was quite tight. We did book reservations well in advance so it wasn’t because we were last minute. Service was fabulous. All in all, you can’t do much better if you’re looking for great Italian!

What an awesome little hidden gem of a restaurant!!! A bit pricey however, the food was amazing last night! The wife’s chicken parm was outstanding and my veal with Alfredo was amazing! Would 100% go back if ever in town

My wife and I drove from across the lake to dine last night and I couldn’t not believe what a wonderful experience we enjoyed. Service was excellent and food was excellent. We will be back

Was real excited first time there. They sat us at a table next to the bar and welcome desk. The waitress was sweet but not real attentive as much as we would have liked. The food was a disappointment, Veal piccata had two medallions for veal and about a whole can of capers. Sauce was sloppy and we had to ask for refills on drinks. And finally we had to call for our waitress for a box to go and our ticket. Too much commotion

Our experience at Ristorante Filippo was absolutely perfect. We were greeted with such warmth and hospitality, and the night just got better from there. We were a larger party so we were seated in their small little private room, which was truly charming. Our server Kasey was attentive and sweet, and the food was utterly incredible. We are out of towners so we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were blown away at how fantastic our meals were. Highly highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

I have been here many times and it is always on point. The lasagna is to die for. Their red sauce is a little sweet, which I really like. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was fantastic. We had a late reservation, so the restaurant was not so busy. It worked out perfect because the food came out pretty quick and service was great!

Hate to leave a negative comment but food was not good at all. Have dined here several times in past years and quality has gone downhill. Last time was a party of 6 and we all had complaints.
