The Rising Sun Richmond has a traditional Australian style. Accompanied with a lovely restaurant, events, functions, covered rooftop beer garden, a large TAB for gambling, bottle shop until 1:00 AM and meals available seven days in Richmond Melbourne from 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM.

The Rising Sun Richmond was established in the mid 1800’s. Having celebrated the 150th year as a licensed hotel last year. Similarly, celebrating 20 years as our home since the hotel was purchased in 2000. With a new 20 year lease recently signed, this pub and the Riser community family aren’t going anywhere.

Our roof top beer garden is the perfect spot, it is completely weatherproof. A new electric can be instantly opened or closed with the press of a button, so we don’t need to worry about Melbourne’s ever-untrustworthy weather.There is plenty of heating, amazing audio system, T.V’s with sport, an open bar and 4 brand new bathroom upstairs.

The Tuesday lunch specials have a good selection and great value for money. Totally recommend.

The food is excellent. The staff are on the ball. Great Richmond Pub. A credit to generations of Reardon’s. Make this a regular luncheon choice. You will not be disappointed . Cheers. Jock.

I will caveat the below message that it was a Friday night with 96,000 people going to the MCG and a League prelim final at AAMI Park, but for food to take an hour when ordering at 6 pm, with no communication through that period, is simply not good enough. I am glad we got our orders in before the people that were arriving after us. Left everyone scrambling to eat and run. Thinking that 1 hour and 50 minutes would be ample time to order, eat and get to the game was, unfortunately, an incorrect assumption. Having said that, really good atmosphere, food was pretty good too... but the kitchen needed to be more prepared for a big night... everyone could see that one coming.

My 19 year old son and I went there for lunch. On Father’s Day. The warm geeetinh from the Chilean woman staff member was great & warm. Really good choices on the menu on the wall. Entree of pork tacos I’ll recommend. I had barramundi for main & Darcy had a steak sandwich. We were full. So didn’t have desserts Note you have to ask about desserts as not on the menu on the wall. Also easy access to many of the bars including in the bistro. Thanks Troy

The staff were very switched on. They’d made sure we were placed at the most suitable table. Near an open fire. We’d had six guests. All comment how delicious the food served was. Including my Mum’s favourite sticky date pudding. She was pleased. We’ll reserve a table again. At the Rising Sun Hotel.
