Riondo's serves a casual lunch and upscale dinner with unmatched hospitality on the strand in Galveston. Riondo's also provides a private banquet room for rehearsal dinners, small weddings and all your special occasion needs. Chef Rico provides housemade pastas, mozzarella cheese, artisan breads and Gulf Coast Fresh Seafood, Wagyu beef and local farm to market produce from Moon Dog farms. We made dinner reservations for 3:45pm and were promptly seated. Very good time as restaurant had a calming ambience before the crowds. Nice place with multiple seating areas from front to back. We were seated in Dinning Room which is 1/2 through the restaurant. We started with their Appetizer Platter & bottle of Italian red wine (Delacorte). Of course it was a delicious blend that our waiter Nathan said was popular with guests. For Entrees we enjoyed their Scallops (including a selection of local fish from the Gulf), and Lasagna Bologne. They were both hot and delicious. Of course everything about the dining out experience is strongly influenced by the staff employed, and our Server Nathan was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly & actually appeared to enjoy working there! We’d definitely return next time - this place is a welcome alternative from our “rushed” dining experiences back home in San Diego.

Delectable! Our meals were the off menu specials suggested by our server. Blackened halibut and filet with lump crab meat. Italian margaritas were wonderful. Our service was great with time to enjoy and relax without feeling rushed. Overall highly recommend.

Very elegant restaurant with exceptional Italian cuisine and exceptional service. We love Richard and his indepth knowledge of the menu offerings. He was so professional and attentive. I absolutely loved the seafood inspired dishes here, and my Wife loved the Veal PIcatta as well. However, she did mention that her dish could have been a little hotter (heat). We really loved our wine selection and Italian Old Fashioned drink as well. And you must try the Bananas Foster desert, which is flambeyed at your tableside. It was incredible! Make sure to make a reservation and get here at least a half-hour before your reservation time. It will take you that long to locate parking somewhere along the Strand, but it is well worth it.

We arrived early and had cocktails at the bar. I had the best Grey Goose Martini. This was the last evening for Restaurant week. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.

The service was as usual great! However the food was sub par. Had to send steak back 3 times to get it right.

Riondo's never fails to deliver . It offers a nice selection of entrees and appetizers along with great cocktails and wine selections .

Richard was a great waiter. Ravioli pillows were fabulous! And the Gruyère scalloped potato side were quite delicious too. Great dinner overall.

This was My Wife and My first visit to Riondo's and we both loved it. The Riondo's platter appetizer was incredible, complete with mozzarella cheese sticks, crab stuffed mushrooms, homemade meatballs, and brushetta. My main dish of Gulf Shrimp Spaghetti Carbonara was really delicious. The shrimp were fresh gulf shrimp, and were very flavorful. My Wife tried the Gnocchi di Spinachi, and loved it as well. Our Chianti wine pick made a perfect pairing with our dinner selections. The service was very courteous, informative, and professional. The only knock I have to give, is the extreme difficulty in finding a parking space. The parking garage on the street behind the restaurant was completely full, and there was no parking spot on the Strand. We ended up parking in an open lot three blocks away, and had to pay $30 for parking. My advice is to arrive at least a half-hour prior to your reservation, because you'll need that time to find a suitable, and hopefully more affordable place to park.
