    Server was on the edge. Asked her to slow down but then she got more agitated. Spoke to Mgr afterwards but wasn’t very responsive. Concerned as Rioja is one of our go to places. Thinking twice now.

    One of the best restaurants we've visited, the food AND service were excellent. The Artichoke Tortelloni was an amazing dish. For the all around superb quality, Rioja was a very good price point and a perfect choice for celebrating a graduation! We'll definitely return.

    We went to Rioja while in Denver for one night off a recommendation from a friend. The whole experience was outstanding. The vibe and ambiance was upscale and relaxing. Our waitress was friendly, we connected over recent trips to Breckenridge. Her recommendations for food and drinks were spot on. The artichoke ravioli was the best thing we have eaten in years! Would absolutely send anyone we know to Rioja when in Denver!

    We've been coming to Rioja since they opened many years ago. They are consistenly excellent. Loved the cocktails and the dishes we ate. The bacon wrapped sturgeon and the venison dishes were especially good. Can't wait for our next visit.

    The food and service was outstanding! It was my first time there and while I had some expectations, they were blown out of the water! I'll definitely be going back in the future!

    Mixed green salad starter was excellent. Good margaritas. Service fine. My braised short rib very tasty, though small, and the carrot puree was a mere dot the size of a quarter (decoration), and I didn't see a tomato puree. My wife's octopus was truly bland, which the bravas sauce tried too hard to hide. Three tiny morsels of bread (why so cheap?) Instead of gluten-free bread, my wife was brought papadum (Indian chickpea wafer). Why? I love funk and soul music, but along with the saxophone smooth jazz (yuck), highly inappropriate. I wondered why they weren't they playing some excellent Spanish music (so much available). Pretty noisy, too, obscuring the excuse for music but carrying loud diners' voices.

    This was our first visit to Rioja. It won't be our last. There's a reason Rioja is recognized for excellence. The service and ambiance are very good, the food is off the charts. I had the signature dish, artichoke tortelloni. It was incredible.

    Wonderful food and an amazing staff! Unique dishes that fabulous flavor. Servers were incredibly attentive and friendly. We will go back.
