Rio Brazil Steakhouse set on the outskirts of Richmond and Glen Allen.
A Brazilian steakhouse, commonly known as a "churrascaria," is a dining establishment that specializes in the traditional Brazilian barbecue style of cooking meat. These restaurants are renowned for their "rodízio" service, where a variety of skewered meats, such as beef, pork, lamb, and chicken, are slow-cooked over an open flame.
Our Customers experiences a continuous tableside service where servers, known as "gauchos," carve the meats directly onto the diners' plates. The rodízio style allows patrons to enjoy a wide selection of meats until they are satisfied, with the serving process continuing until they signal for it to stop.
In addition to the succulent meats, Brazilian steakhouses often offer an expansive salad bar with a variety of fresh vegetables, cheeses, and side dishes to complement the main courses offering a unique and popular dining experience.

This was better than I expected. The salad bar was impressive. The hot sides not as much. But that’s ok because you shouldn’t fill up on either. Most of the meat offered was beef many different cuts and preparation. There’s a lot of upselling add ons. We got the basil shrimp and desserts to go. Both were very good. When we go back it’s not necessary to get anything additional. It is a lot of food. Do not eat lunch beforehand.

This was a 2 birthday and a Father’s Day celebration meal. The guys have wanted to try this place because, you know, all you can eat meat (and not just the chicken they get at home all the time). The girls were skeptical about the place but it was a celebration of them so they got to choose. We were all impressed with the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the cold and hot bars, the diversity of items in those bars, and the phenomenal service. The meats were great and well seasoned. We all had different favorites. Also, try the grilled pineapple and garlic bread, yum! We were all full but still had to get dessert which are huge portions! We all got something different and shared and not a bad one in the bunch! If you haven’t tried this place, then you should! It is locally owned, so not one of those chains. (I have been to a couple of those and was less than impressed which is why I wasn’t looking forward to this meal). We will definitely be going back!

Food was delicious, service was awesome, employees were very friendly and courteous. The manager came around and was telling us about a recipe for the ribs they offer, very nice place
